we dont nid lamar... we nid a big man wu can do the job, rebounding, garbage points, defense and consistency,,, kobe and lamar's style collide to no good........ kobe is the ballhander and most of the plays start from him... so he nids a defensive big man like jo to do the dirty job..

Hoping we can get JO. I don't know if we have to give them Lamar. He is more valuable to the Lakers. I would think Indy would want Kwame's expiring contract instead. They have Grainger who is similar to Lamar without the expensive contract, and he's much younger. If they trade JO they want to rebuild. Bynum is certainly the pivotal piece and must be included. Expiring contract with draft pick would be much more appealing than redundant tweener player in Lamar with some years left and quite a bit of money. Plus, this trade is supposed to work for both sides. Lakers with JO but no Lamar leaves us too depleted to be much better. Lakers w/out Kwame and Bynum (and filler like Cook or Vlad Rad) is fine (PLEASE!!!!).

Wow Christopher, really? I thought Smush was the best Laker.

That was today's episode of Captain Obvious, tune in next week when we find out that Kobe's number is now 24 and not 8!!!

Great article, by the way.

Great Article. If I had to choose which scenario I think most likely will occur, I would say that Kobe gets traded and the Lakers are S.O.L. I don't see the Lakers being contenders next year or the year after, and I don't see Kobe sitting idly by. Let this be the final move in the dismantling of the dynasty, may she rest in peace.
