There is a way to make a KG trade that does not include Indy. Just take them out of the 4 team trade. Chad ford has an articel on espn. Boston gets Odom, and Bynum , Minny gets ratliff, Gerald green, telfair #5 and their 2008 pick back form boston, and kwame, the lakers get KG and Jaric. Boston gets to keep Jefferson. They are getting an all star calliber veteran in Odom, (who will be better in the east where size doesn't make as much of a difference), Bymum who would be this years consensus #3 pick if he was in the lottery. If you look at it that way they are trading up in the lottery. Minnesota gets #5 pick, their # 8 back from boston, , our # 19 would be included, a couple good young players, and 20 million in ending contracts. Thats probably the best Minnesota is going to do for KG because no one will trade for him if he will just opt out. Its better than PHX can offer him unless they are willing to part with Amare. It's better for boston than the 3 team deal with PHX and minnesota. out Throw in a conditional 1st round pick to boston from the lakers and it is plausible.

nate can't happen. Billups opted out of his contract so he could get a bigger one. He will probably end up getting about 15 million a year. The lakers can't offer that because of the salary cap. This is not baseball where the yankees can buy every player they want or A-rod can be signed for a deal that is worth more than a 3rd of the teams in the MLB.

i know we have to trade at least Kwame, Bynum, and Odom for KG. instead of Smush we could probably land Billups and a draft pick with Cook, Radman, Sasha, and Evans. if Artest is needed, try Walton for him straight up. sign veteran forward like Webber, and...

C: Mihm, Ronnie
PF: Garnett, Webber, pick
SF: Artest, pick
SG: Kobe, pick
PG: Billups, Farmar

every team would be simply overwhelmed with this lineup. all have both some range in their shot and come up big in clutch time. no team could gaurd Artest and Kobe with their perimeter defense, and they couldn't get past Garnett and Mihm on the inside.

07-08 CHAMPIONS!!!

This would be something special if this occured. Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett on the same stage together, matter of fact in a laker uniform and in the Staples Center were the number one venue of all of basketball. Plus I am a huge laker fan and sometimes I feel like a #1 fan of them.
Here are two great line-ups if KG arrives:
1. PG: Smush Parker or 2. Chancey Bill-ups
   SG: Kobe Bryant Kobe Bryant
   SF: Sasha Vujivic Ron Artest
   PF: Kwaume Brown Kwaume Brown
    C: Kevin Garnett Kevin Garnett

hey guys, i was just wondering if any of these two trade scenarios would be realistic and possible at all. considering that paul pierce wants a reliable co-star with him in boston. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AoFq78TTHdm4RUhM2_WbDcc5nYcB?slug=aw-pierce062507&prov=yhoo&type=lgnsin

in both scenarios, the lakers ends up getting garnett. in addition, they are all within the cap boundaries.

1st Trade Scenario (4 Team Involvement)
Lakers: Kevin Garnett
Wolves: Al Jefferson/Sebastian Telfair/Theo Ratliff/Kwame Brown/Celtics #5 Draft Pick
Pacers: Lamar Odom/Andrew Bynum
Celtics: Jermaine O'Neal/Lakers #19 Draft Pick

2nd Trade Scenario (3 Team Involvement)
Lakers: Kevin Garnett/Troy Hudson
Wolves: Al Jefferson/Sebastian Telfair/Theo Ratliff/Kwame Brown/Celtics #5 Draft Pick
Celtics: Lamar Odom/Andrew Bynum/Jordan Farmar/Lakers #19 Draft Pick

in both cases, the lakers are overpaying for what they're getting in return. but it seems like the Lakers front office will have to overpay in order to negotiate a deal. any criticisms/comments?
Nobody lied to Kobe... Kobe lied to everyone else. If the team was so bad, he should have said something at the beginning of the season... but why didn't he? Because they were winning!
Kobe was lied to, period. They promised to build a contender around him fast when he resigned and a Odom, Bynum, and Kwame lineup isnt a quick way to win a title when your team is in the WEST and like I said in my previous comment, i dont care how much they were winning that roster was in no shape or form a contender for a title. Last time I checked a broken promise is a lie. Lets see what happens, Only time will tell.
