L.A. Times: Trade talks continued Monday between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lakers after a four-team proposal that would have sent All-Star forward Kevin Garnett to the Lakers collapsed.
Minnesota owner Glen Taylor was expected to be in the Timberwolves’ offices this morning before departing for a honeymoon in China. His appearance at team headquarters suggested a quick resolution on the Lakers’ proposal, which includes forward Lamar Odom and center Andrew Bynum.
However, sources said that Kevin McHale, the Timberwolves’ vice president of basketball operations, wasn’t keen on the Lakers’ offer.
Another topsy-turvy day, a phrase used often to describe daily happenings during the Lakers’ off-season, began Monday with prospects of a four-team trade and ended with the Lakers and Timberwolves still having the same rosters.

i’m hoping this will be the glorious turning point for the los angeles lakers… where we finally see kobe bryant and kevin garnett playing together on one team. i hope we’ll witness the birth of a new dynasty. but reality tells me that we’re all in for a huge disappointment.
i`m keeping my fingers crossed today. KB and KG on the same team would be like a dream commimg thrue. They would bring showtime back to LA. Champiomchip like showtime

If we get Garnett we should also shoot to get the center from San Antonio, Oberto, he just opted to become a restricted FA. I think he would be a good piece for L.A.. Get a desent ball handler and Ron Artest, possibly Grant Hill or C-Webb even though he choked in the playoffs for the Pistons word around the D is he is not returning next season but if he wants to much loot then f*** it, Holla at ya boy, what ya’ll think?
