I couldn't understand some parts of this article h Is Back! at The Lakers Nation - “We Follow Because We Believe.”, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
What's going on with him? How come the signing isn't announced? Is it official or not?
http://www.pe.com/sports/basketball/lakers/stories/PE_Sports_Local_D_lakers_12.412003a.html

7 days and not until Utah files the paperwork.

Anyway, blah paying him with the MLE

Will Mitch ever do something that will wow me?

if fisher really resigns with the lakers this offseason, that would be a huge step forward in reshaping the lakers' roster. fisher really gives this young lakers' team some much needed veteran leadership and experience. i still think that some uprades are required and hopefully it can be done through free agent signings and trades, but if the team was to not do anything else this offseason, i would still be happy with the current roster with the addition of fisher, crittenton, and possibly the resigning of mihm.

current roster, possible roster for 2007/2008 season

C- kwame, bynum, mihm
PF- odom, turiaf, cook
SF- walton, radmanovic
SG- kobe, evans, vujacic
PG- fisher, farmar, crittenton

this is still a very deep team and hopefully garnett will opt out after next season and decide to join the lakers then, so my advice to kobe is just stay calm and hang on for at least one more season, then and maybe then the lakers can persuade garnett to come on board.

Im a huge Laker fan but I am truly getting tired of hearing about Derek Fisher and what he brings, I am a realistic person and he does not bring much, all he brings is his work ethic which I really liek and admire about him, he is a pretty stand up guy, but to our younger point guards it is not something he can tach them, they have to pick that up on their own. You forget we have probably the hardest working player in sports - Kobe who is better suited to have his work ethic rub off on someone since he is accomplished, D-Fish is not, he is a backup, like I said before why are we so happy to get back a player we wanted to get rid of before?? Answer - Because we are so desperate for a move to happen we are all happy to see one actually be made. But com one guys, D-Fish is not that good, he can barely make a lay-up, he does not make the 3 consistantly and he is slow compared to the point guards out there. Dont get me wrong I'm a fan but Im tired of hearing all this praise about what a wonderfull pick up when just 3-4 years ago we wanted to get rid of him and pick up someone else.
this trade seems alright for all 3 teams... what do u guys think?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=981~2748~1031~617~1016~396~1007~193~261~387&teams=16~16~1~1~16~16~16~1~13~13
I really don't know where everybody is getting the idea that atlanta would trade joe johnson. No (realistic) trade that sends joe johnson out of atlanta will ever take place.
