Theo Ratliff came on the show “Drive This,” this morning. He talks about the current situation.
It seems like he is ready to go to Minny. Talks about being a professional.
Sounds like he is ready to go - but never mentioned anything is “done.” Sounds like he isn’t sure if he is moved or not.

i was searching on the yahoo sports forums and some boston fans are not happy here are some unhappy fan that are not happy with the trade rummors going around.
The Celtics are giving up to much for Garnett, Al Jefferson and Green and Gomes and a draft pick is crazy. If Gomes a draft pick and Theo and Telfair weren’t enough what the hell is Danny Ainge doing to this franchise. From developing the young he turns around and wants an instant winner, for what to save his job???? This is B.S. Garrnett is great but giving away the house is dummmmmmmmm. Danny go to were Pinto went away.

Arguably the worst move in the history of the NBA on all accounts. First, KG has done so much for MN for the past 12 years (their only recent problems in the past few seasons were due to McHale and poor decisions made) and this is how they repay the man?? Sending him to Boston, last year’s second worst team in the NBA? So what Boston has Allen and Pierce, now all three players are in their 30’s, past their prime years. Garnett is a man deserving a fair shot at an NBA title so he should have gone to a team who is a contender like Chicago in the Eastern conference. Instead, he will play for Boston and won’t see the light of a championship ring in years to come until he is traded again and even older. MN on the receiving end got four scrap players. McHale’s an idiot. I feel bad for KG, he’s a respectable player and should not have been dumped in hopeless team.

Awful deal for the C’s. Yeah, let’s trade all our young talent this year so we can win a few meaningless games. If we could do this deal and keep Gomes, I’d be happy to lose Jefferson and Green. But not all three. Terrible.
Ainge should’ve sent Pierce packing and built the future around Gomes, Jefferson, Rondo, and Tony Allen.

“Coby the Kid”
I was excited the way CK (Coby Karl) or as I call him, Coby-the-Kid (just don’t want to mix it with the Kobe-the-Great) played in the summer league. His signing went almost unnoticed (except couple of bloggers) in the heat of KG trade. I think he’s talented enough to make himself noticeable. I like this move.
Shakobe,
Great post, I agree with those bloggers; Ainge and “Mc.Hell” are the worst GMs and I think this trade stinks for all participants, Wolves, Celtics and especially for KG.
Those two, Ainge and “Mc.Hell”, are Laker’s nemesis and they do anything to not let KG land in LA.
i think sending LO to boston is better cause they keep Al Jefferson…
and minny gets: Bynum,Green,Telfair, Kwame, and Ratliff…
Lakers get KG and Blount!
dark-ice18,
I think Wolves want Al Jefferson in any trade scenario, I just don’t see them let KG go without getting Al Jefferson. But I might be wrong.
Also, in a 3 way trade with Lakers, Boston would never let Al Jefferson be a part of the deal.
Have you seen Al Jefferson Numbers. Look at it:
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/al_jefferson/index.html?nav=page
He is better than Odom (at least on Paper) and 5 years younger.
****PLEASE SUPPORT THIS SITE AND CLICK ON THE GOOGLE ADS****
have you guys seen this site what a bite off its called getgasol.com
shakobe
Who’s your favorite player? jk
Like your comments and agree. Awful trade for both teams. And that is not sour grapes, ok a little. These guys are old and by the time they learn to play together it will be too late. No way they compete for title in first year. Shaqs and Kobes first year with Lakers we didn’t. And like Cyrus said, they have little playoff experience as well.
BAD TRADE, BAD DEAL, BAD DAY FOR FATTY
I feel that this is a good time for the Lakers to step in this deal right now and make it a 3-way blockbuster trade
that would land KG in L.A.
This is the way I see it which will improve all teams:
T’Wolves:(they want young talent)
Green
Telfair
Jefferson
Ratliff
Celtics:
Bynum
Radmonivic
Brown
Farmer
This is a great linup(Farmer/R.Allen/Percie/Brown/Bynum)
Lakers(Us):
KG
Fisher/Critt/Karl/Williams
Bryant/Evans/Vujivic
Odom/Walton/Cook
KG/Tariaf
Mihm/sign Webber for the rest of the payroll
This looks real good and it works for all teams.
I see championship in my vision. You know Kobe is going to get excited.
Go Lakers!!!!!!!!
I hope that Mitch and Buss see this vision.
look what i have found on boston globe it looks like garnett is on a vacation.
According to multiple league sources, Garnett must agree to waive a portion of the trade kicker worth approximately $6.75 million. If Garnett agrees to that contingency, then he would have some additional leverage as the Celtics attempt to restructure his current contract. Slowing down the trade/approval process is the fact that Garnett is on a cruise until the end of this week.
wana read the rest of the story here is the link guys.
http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/
Celtics now need help on the front line and point guard.
I propose we send Kwame, Odom, and Bynum, plus Farmar for KG.
i dont think we are going to hear anything intill garnett comes back from his cruise, just like Shira Springer, Globe Staff, said Slowing down the trade/approval process is the fact that Garnett is on a cruise until the end of this week. done deal my foot and we have the report from yahoo sports that Ainge will not confirm the deal as being “done,” as the numerous AP media outlets report…
Fatty,
You said it man. It’s a bad deal for everybody.Thank you.
And as “ShaKobe” wrote; Boston bloggers are not very happy about this tarde. I wnet to yahoo Boston Blog and almost everybody is disagreeing with Ainge. I hope he comes to his senses and won’t trade Al Jefferson, because that’s what most fans are pissed about. That would break the deal.
And regarding the new name; I will vote for the new name for this blog

We just bonding rpoc. Cmon rpoc, how about a group hug?!
Rpoc,
Didn’t we go through this subject before???LOL
just went to Twolves site. KG is almost no where to be found. No promotion of him at all. madsen has more space
hey guys me again been looking all over for any news or updates and nothing new, and most places say that the deal approval is on garnett but he is on a cruise until the end of this week. So i guess we have till end of this week for mitch to pull something out of his magic hat and make a move.
OK, Back to lakers,
Rpoc and Fatty,
Since we have a group hug, let me ask you this question;
What do you think Kobe’s reaction would be to KG going to Boston?
Ken Berger at Newsday is predicting that Kobe will now press more for a trade.
how convenient!
Cruise ships have telephones, faxes, that cruise stuff is strange. They also stop at ports where you can send fedex.

Fatty,
Which T.Wolves site?
NBA TEAM SITE
Apparently if this trade does go down minny and celts are swaping 1st round draft picks? Can anybody confirm this? I think there was a report on yahoo im told but not sure. Does anybody else see the stupidity in that? Minny trading there draft pick for celts, minny is going to have the worst record in the NBA next season if this goes down, celts had second worst record and they played in east, with the guys theyre sending to minny.
Mchale doesnt care about minny or garnett, all he wants to do now is bring celtics back to glory.
I was just listening to AM570 and Joe McDonnell, who in my opinion is the true Kobe and Laker hater, was blaming Kobe for KG not coming to LA. Somebody should throw a shoe at this moron and tell him, he should blame Mc.Hell who is a Laker’s hater like Joe McDonnell is.
Joe McDonnell is a notorious liar, master of deception and has no freaking knowledge about basketball. He would sell his own mother to get higher ratings. He takes advantage of any opportunity to put down Lakers and especially Kobe.
this trade dont make no sense at all even boston fans are pissed, what the hell are these people thinking? i agree with BEC Mchale doesnt care about minny or garnett, all he wants to do now is bring celtics back to glory, someone else has to look at this trade and give a second opinion its a bad trade, i hope the Nba wont approve this trade.
Cyrus
I typed a long post to your question and it disappeared when I submitted it. It might show up later, that happens here sometimes. Otherwise, I will type again. Rats, it was really long with my usual incitefulness. lol
Fatty,
I learned my lesson about long posts, before clicking “submit”, I always highlight everything and copy it.
Anyway, I think they opened a new thread about my question; will Kobe push harder for a trade as result of KG trade. that might be the reason for the disappearance of your post.

That’s logical. Kobe hasn’t given a commitment to the Lakers and one of his gripes was the Lakers missing out on marquee players. KG is another one in Kobe’s eyes.
The only thing now that’ll shut him up is JO with LO here if KG is going wear the blasphemous green.
And a big thumbs down to your 3-way group hugging fantasies!!
