McHale would’ve never sent KG to STAPLES?

More on what people from the Lakers’ front office felt. Perhaps McHale really never wanted to send KG to Los Angeles. In fact, he “hates” Los Angeles.

SacBee: …That includes the Lakers, among the many to negotiate with the Timberwolves since the end of 2006-07, as Kobe Bryant put Los Angeles executives under heated public pressure to improve the roster. The Lakers were going to hear about it no matter where Garnett went, what is sure to become Bryant’s latest frustration about missing out on a difference-maker. The Timberwolves, however, apparently had no interest in taking on Lamar Odom at $27.5 million the next two seasons in addition to promising center Andrew Bynum and a package of prospects and picks.

Some within the L.A. front office also believed that Minnesota’s vice president of basketball operations, Kevin McHale, a Boston star during the days of the Lakers-Celtics wars, was stuck on those old times and would never allow Garnett to become the latest star at Staples Center.

Exactly what I’m talking about. You guys can’t blame Kobe for Garnett not coming to LA. Garnett is a liar. He said that the reason why he didn’t come to LA was because the whole Kobe situation was still up in the air which is bull S H I T. I officially hate Garnett because he tried to make his friend, KOBE, look bad in the eyes of Lakers fans. I lost a lot of respect for Garnett.

last night i had a terrible, terrible nightmare. Lakers had another losing season and Kobe left the Lakers to sign… with THE CELTICS.
Then i was in shock and awe as the lineup of eddie house, kobe, allen, peirce, and kg took over the NBA. then i looked into horror as my lakers underwear slowly started turning green….

:faints:

Mchale will get his just rewards. Minny is now the 2006-07 Celtics without Paul Pierce. Can we say 30 wins or less. Now is the time for Magic to call Larry Bird and get the JO deal done. I heard on THE LOOSE CANNONS today that J. Critt is the key to the JO trade along with Lamar. J. Critt can not be traded offically until 8/03/07. So, we can wait until Friday to see what goes down. If the JO to Lakers rumor has any validity we should know soon!!

Hemem……

I have a dream for McHale not to judge by the rivals they got F**ed by, but for what kind of deal is put on the table.

M.L.K. JR. always lets us know that even the impossible is possible. Let us all be strong and always remember this great man as a family.

I say bring on JO!!!!!!!!!!
AND sign Webber.

16. Gravatar Icon 16 Fred A.

Add to that some how get Artest
Idea (Farmer/Radmovic/firstrounder)4 Artest.

17. Gravatar Icon 17 Fred A.

Looks:
Fisher/Critt/Karl/Williams
Bryant/Evans/Vujivic
Artest/Walton/Cook
JO/Tariaf
Mihm/Webber

A Kobe/JO/Fish trio is way better than a KG/Percie/Allen trio anyways.

I heard that the timberwolves are going to buyout ryan gomes contract and than he will resign with the celtics. How gay is that. Mchale just trying to help out his old team.

20. Gravatar Icon 20 billyboy

NO, i would never give up critt.
he’s the only talent in the team (bynum is overrated).

and yeah, what i also wanted to say: {Profanity isn't allowed on theLakersNation.com -- Please go back and edit your comment. i hope both won’t make the playoffs

OK SO HOW MANY GUARDS DO WE HAVE?

FISHER, FARMA, J.CRITT, SASHA, EVANS, KOBE, COBY AND NOW WE ARE DESPERATELY SEEKING JUAN CARLOS 8 GUARDS.. OK CUPCAKE EITHER DOESN’T KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING OR SOMETHING IS UP COME AUG 3RD.
1) CUPCAKE IS TRYING TO TRADE KOBE THIS SUMMER SO HE’S LOOKING FOR HIS REPLACEMET. THAT’S THE ONLY REASON WE WERE IN THE STEVE FRANCIS SWEEPSTAKE
2)INDIANA MIGHT LISTEN TO ANOTHER PACKAGE W.O LAMAR: BYNUM, VLAD, J.CRITT AND KWAME. FOR J.O
AND ALSO FARMA AND WALTON/KWAME FOR ARTEST

FISHER, KOBE, ARTEST, L.O, J.O
COBY, EVANS, COOK TURIAF, MIHM
SASHA, WEBBER

NOTE” DON’T BROADCAST THIS TRADE TO ANY NON LAKER WEBSITE FOR RUMORS LEAK OUT TO THE OPEN AND IT CAN KILL A DEAL.

22. Gravatar Icon 22 Qwuor

I agree with yo DMacid …I for one have been ranting for days to get J.O even if it cost us L.O and Bynum. I have been going back to the 05-06 years when J.O was healthy and he was absolutely beasting on teams in the west..
05-06 season vs Dirk(31) 7-17 13rbs 3blks, 25pts 11-14 ft vs Gasol (11pts 2-11) 9-19 14rbs 5blks, 20pts 2-3ft vs Duncan(26pt) 10-20 7rbs 0blks 25pts 6-8ft vs Shaq(18pts) 10-20 9rbs 27pts 1blk 7-10ft

last season playing on 1 leg vs detroit 4/03 10-16, 7rbs 2blks 20pts. vs cavs 3/27 11-18 5rb 1blk 32pts 10-10ft vs Bulls 3/25 15-24 14rb 0blk 39pts 9-12 ft vs Rockets 3/20 9-24, 9rbs 0blks 25pts vs phx 2/27 13-24 13rb 7ast 6blks 28pts 2-2ft

Yes J.O had his worse season last year, I only compiled the games against good teams that has Good PF/C. If you read a lot of those recaps “J.O played hurt once again” that’s Y his FG% was 43%. This guy is a warrior. He actually played more games than L.O last 3 years. He will hold his own against the Boozers, Duncan, Amare, Dirk etc

I don’t care what Lamar %’s are..L.O only wants to take 12 shots/game..as you can see J.O takes about 20shots/game..@ 50%fg (that’s how efficient I believe he will be with Kobe. J.O is 46% career) we need somebody to step up and take some of the scoring burden off kobe. If he takes 20shots/game @ 46% I can live with that than 12shots/game @ 47% for lamar.

J.O in the paint taking 20shots/game @ 50% and 8ft/g=24ppg would do wonders for kobe. J.O would have Kwame to guard the Duncans, Brand, boozer, Gasols of the world. Mihm can get off. putbacks. Mihm could position on the other side of the offensive post. Fisher/J.critt/sasha/vlad/ cook/ evans can all spread the floor and Kobe could be the Slasher/Playmaker and take it to the hoop if necessary..

Each season experts downplay how far we will go in the season; they claim we wouldn’t even make the playoffs..but some how we do. Now they claim Kobe/J.O duo would only get to the 2nd round…pfff I for one believes If J.O plays 75games we are going to the Finals. I don’t see a single team that can guard kobe and J.O and shut down the Fishers/J.critt/ Vlad(if healthy) of the world. J.O production matches most of those teams best big man and now they would have kobe to contend with.

if Trade kwame and Farmer for Artest I think we can win it all; If we got J.O.

Spurs: Duncan = J.O BOTH WILL HAVE 20-10. PARKER SLIGHTLY>> FISHER/J.CRITT. PARKER..KOBE >>> MANU…KOBE HEAVILY. ARTEST >> BOWEN

SUNS: NASH>FISHER/J.CRITT..BUT NOT SOO MUCH IN PT PRODUCTION. KOBE>>>RAJA. ARTEST=MARION. J.O=AMARE. I FINALLY LIKE OUR CHANCES.

UTAH: D.WILL=FISHER/J.CRITT KOBE>>>GIRICEK. ARTEST>>AK47. J.O=BOOZER. I LIKE OUR CHANCES

HOUSTON: FISHER/J.CRITT>>M.JAMES. KOBE>>>FRANCIS. ARTEST=T.MAC. NO WAY T.MAC KILLS ARTEST. J.O>>>>>C. HAYES. YAO>>MIHM I LIKE OUR CHANCES

DENVER: A.I>>FISHER/J.CRITT. KOBE>>>>SMITH. MELO>ARTEST. J.O>NENE. CAMBY=MIHM I LIKE OUR CHANCES

CELTICS: FISHER/JCRITT>>RONDO, KOBE>>ALLEN. ARTEST=P.PIERCE. J.O=KG. I LIKE OUR CHANCES

MIAMI: FISHER/J.CRITTT>>>SMUSH. KOBE>WADE..SLIGHTY IN POINTS. ARTEST>?, J.O>HASLEM. SHAQ>>MIHM. I LIKE OUR CHANCES.

DETROIT: BILLUPS>>FISH/CRITT. RIP>WALLACE.

I BELIEVE MITCH CAN PULL THIS OFF: LAMAR & BYNUM FOR J.O. & FARMA & KWAME FOR ARTEST. DYNASTY BABY..KOBE (28YRS OLD) ,J.O(28YRS), ARTEST (27YRS) THESE GUYS HAVE GOOD 7 YRS FOR THE DYNASTY.

23. Gravatar Icon 23 Fred A.

Come on Jerry and Mitch pull the trigger on LO/Bynum for JO. I hope the lakers will at lease do that.
And Farmer/Brown for Artest is great too. Like what Quwor said. Plus sign Webber.

24. Gravatar Icon 24 Spacedocker
A Kobe/JO/Fish trio is way better than a KG/Percie/Allen trio anyways.
lolololololol

25. Gravatar Icon 25 lakerfan81

A few things

1. There is absolutely no way in hell that Sac will trade Artest to the Lakers for Farmar/Brown even if you throw in future picks. It is just a horrible trade for them. That is basically trading Farmar for Artest since brown is just an expiring contract. IF Artest was on the Lakers would you trade him for Farmar?
2. You can make the argument that trading LO/Bynum for JO is a good move (I think it is overpaying because JO is overpaid and I do not think it makes the Lakers Contenders). But the problem is that Inidana was not asking for that. They wanted LO, Bynum, Critt (19th pick at the time), futre draft pick. That is way overpaying. They also wanted the Lakers to take on Murphy’s monster contract by adding in Brown, that would be the stupidest move the Lakers could do (thats just as bad as trading Kobe). If you could do just LO Bynum for JO then you can argue for making the trade, but that is not the deal that is on the table.
3. You can’t just sign Webber. Webber decides where he wants to go. He already said Dallas or Detroit, the Lakers were thrown in but I think it was more of a joke. He may even consider Boston now that they have Garnett and Allen.

I can totally see this happening tomorrow when java is able to be traded.

java odom brown for

oneil murphy.

indiana would be getting an expired contract, someone comparable to oneil and young talent.

lakers get to make kobe happy and a chance for the second round.

fish farmar
kobe evans
walton vlad
oneil turiaff
bynum mimh

barring major injury i like our chances with this team.

27. Gravatar Icon 27 LAKERS FAN

I hope we don’t trade critt and odom for o’neal. I would much rather trade bynum brown farmar and vlad for JO

Attaway Laker81….you win the ceegar on every point. If Kupchak takes the fan bait and “does something” for doing somethings’ sake, he’ll get ripped off in a trade because the other GM’s know he is dealing from desperation.
