Hello I am Fred A. I love the Lakers. I am big lakers fan.
My Roster:
PG: Fisher/Critt/Karl
SG: Bryant/Evans/Vujivic
SF: Odom/Walton/Noel
PF: JO/Villinueva/Tariaf
C: Mihm/sign webber/Turner

From looking at this roster you have a present and a future.
This will automaticly appease the Kobe and the fans. The present and future of this team is great and that is continuing to build a team around Kobe and JO(A great base).
This is how its done!!!!!
Three way trade between Lakers-Bucks-Pacers:

Bucks:
Cook
First Rounders 2008,2009
Money

Pacers:
Bynum
Radmonivic
Brown
Farmer
First Rounder 2010
Money

Lakers:
JO
Villuenuva
Noel

Do you think I should be GM?
A lot can happen in 3 years, Im would not like to see all those picks given away.

Also I think this needs to be moved to the proper topic.
Keep24, I totaly agree with you Phil is too old and too passive. There has been plenty of times that he would not even make the most oviously needed changes during the games. One example is taking out a player with foul trouble, when a player is in foul trouble he can't provide defense so it makes no sense to let them stay on the floor and easily get scored on.I never had the nerve to say anything about Phil but now that you said something it opened the door for me. THANKS
You guys need to understand that the reason why Phil Jackson lets players play and changes arent made during games because it helps players grow and gain experience. He does this a lot. Thats why he doesnt call a lot of timeouts when teams go on big runs, foul trouble situations, line-up changes, and so on. Its regular season play and hes preparing players for the post-season, theres a slight difference in the way he coaches in the post-season, and his success in the post-season speaks for itself. This is a man who has WON 9 NBA titles and has the highest win percentage in NBA history. MJ didnt win until Phil came and Shaq and Kobe never won until Phil came. Theres no need to question his coaching abilities. He knows what he his doing.

PJ is not the problem (though some)...it's the FRONT OFFICE.

PJ plays crappy players a lot of minutes to show the front office their ineffectiveness and ineptitudes.

And Coach K will never leave Duke. He's king there...though no question he'd make a great coach for our young players.

I can't believe you guys are bashing PJ. Come on, he gave us 3 titles. We had Shaq and Kobe before he arrived and nothing.
PJ is an amazing coach. I like Krzyzewski too, but even with all the lame players we have I doubt he could do any better.

Where is JO?
The problem of last years squad was committing to an 82 game season. Kobe seemed to have that killer mentality throughout the season. It's difficult for Kobe fighting for another NBA title when other of his team mates don't have that mentality.
hmmm ...
I totally agree with you. we dont have players who are willing to fight through personal problems, injuries, fatigue for all 82 games like kobe. we really dont need superstar teamates, but we need guys who want to win NOW, who are willing to play 82 games with a 110% mindset, and who are just willing to do whatever it takes to win.

if you look at teams like the spurs and pistons, most of those guys on those teams were never huge stars before they signed with those teams, but they all wanted to win and put in the 24/7 effort to do so.
