HOOPSWORLD.COM: Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko has requested a trade.
On his Russian blog, Kirilenko writes “I don’t see my future with the Utah Jazz team.” (roughly translated).
Kirilenko is coming off a disappointing individual season but the Jazz were one of the year’s success stories parlaying a strong regular season into an impressive playoff run.
Rumors recently leaked out that the Jazz were talking with the Phoenix Suns about trading Kirilenko for Shawn Marion. To date, nothing has come of the conversation . . . though there’s plenty of time for moves over the coming months.
Kirilenko was just named EuroBasket MVP, a driving force behind the Russian upset over Spain to win the title. Upset with his role on the Jazz, Kirilenko doesn’t want his contract to be a burden for the team.
Of course that’s the rub for the Jazz who owe Kirilenko some $63 million over the next four seasons. Despite his talent, he won’t be an easy player to move.
That said, they aren’t going to dump him for inferior talent and last year contracts.

After looking at kb24 4life’s trade machine, I couldn’t believe V. Radmonovic was making that much money and has 4 years left. I hope this guy breaks out this season. This current roster still makes me nervous.

vlad is making a lot of money and isnt doing anything, thats why i put him on the trade because of his huge contract..
i think that getting ak47 is more realistic than artest or jo , so do whatever it takes to trade for ak47 WITHOUT giving up LO..

dont forget he just got euro league MVP… agains spain (Pau Gasol and crew)… he tore it up… and has shown he definitely still has it…
he proved himself offensively, and like always defensively, but he also showed that he can be LEADER and play any role needed to win…
Lamar is better offensivley no doubt.. but i believe AK47 has a better upside, better defense, and higher basketball IQ
still a tough decision, though because i love lamar, and his heart (which is bigger than AK’s, i beleive)

Utah gets way better defense in the post… and they are going to need it to get through phx, or san antonio… So far utah is just a good offensive team… they also need to unload some contract to get more money in their pockets to pay up DERON… so it works out for both teams…

Turaif, and Maurice arent cast aways… last time I checked… actually Maurice is one of the best back sg’s in the league i would day… look at the way he played last season while being injured… they had to drain liquid from his knees right before game time…

This is a long shot but if IND would accept a trade for Jermain where they get Al, Bynum, and v.rad … i would say go for it!…. but we would need to sign pf/c… hopefully someone like C-webb
