Utah actually played some really hard nosed defense...first time the Lakers have seen that...they looked very intimidated and Kobe started pressing.
They looked bad and depressing but we definitely needed Lamar who can create shots for himself and others.
Also Luke is highly underrated as a facilitator. Radman was pretty much nonexistent and it hurt the Lakers.

But yeah is it just me or does it seem like Kobester isn't taking things seriously on the court these days... hmmmm... ??

Everyone was bad last night. Maybe everyone was worrying about their house burning down or something. From what I saw only two players looked like they were even trying. Bynum (who from what I saw looked pretty good) and Ronny was Ronny. Other than that, it was like they were just there getting their paycheck. Lackluster is the correct way to phrase it.

From the little I've seen in the preseason (I don't live in LA so I can only watch the games that are nationally televised), the lakers suck at rebounding. I know they are missing Odom who is there best rebounder is out but if this problem continues throughout the season its going to be a long one.

Are you guys seriously over analyzing this thing? It's another preseason game. Whats the fuss about? Like someone already said, PJ tried new things in the preseason and you can obviously tell. Never look at the scoreboard in the preseason or you'll be extremely upset most of the time. No one really cares. Look at the Cavs or the Suns... Records and scores and minutes and points and turnovers etc. in the preseason mean absolutely nothing. Lets all take a breath and wait for Houston to come. Thank you.

We need to sloooooow things down. The Lakers were the 5th highest scoring team last year so there's no need to try to "run and gun." DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE.

Yo I'm a kobe fan, but damn he needs to suck it up be a leader and stop the complaining! The front office also has to step up and either squash the beef, get some help or trade him! Stop all this drama, and just play ball! daaaaayum.

[Comment ID #15258 Will Be Quoted Here]

Sad but true! the Lakers (not Kobe) are a f-u-c-k-e-n joke. They can hit shot's in practice but they just cant perform under preasure.Kobe on the other hand always rises to the ocasion and ends up carrying the team to a win.But sometimes 40 or 50 points from Kobe is not enough to get the win thats why Kobe want's out...

Im going to say this again..Its a 15 man team. Luke was out AGAIN! L.O. out. Vlad just sucks 1-7 4 points in 19 mins. Mimh cant play, 3 points in 9 mins. Kwame sucks still and cant give anything at all 3 points and 2 T.O. in 12 mins. Yet according to most of you its all Kobes fault. Kobe was pressing although they were down 24-4 before he started pressing. Its all Kobes fault that guys cant hit wide open shots. Its all kobes fault that he couldnt guard 5 players at one time. Its all Kobes fault because no one was rebounding the damn ball, Utah had 20 offensive rebounds. Its all Kobes fault that Fish had 5 points and couldnt help this team run the Triangle the way it should be run. Its Kobes fault because he doesnt cheer enough.
Everything that happens with this damn team is Kobes fault. Did he have an awful game? Yes But so did everybody else on this damn team. Maybe Kobe should have scored 50 in a preseason game to make you all happy. No wait you would have said he was to selfish. Maybe a trade is the only way to make you happy right? Some people on this site last night found it so funny we were getting our asses kicked. True Laker Fans right there. Some of you need to get your heads out of your rear ends. Anyone whos watched this team the last 3 years should know by now this is what we get for settling for mediocrity. According to the F.O. were just fine the way we are. We didnt need to make a trade. Lets just stand pat and see what happens…
I say we just take old yella out back and shoot him it would be best for everyone. I think trading kobe is the only way to stop the stupity.
