Lakers official on Kobe “trade rumors”

This should make you feel a bit more comfortable… ok, or not…

L.A. Times: It’s more business as unusual, always, for the Lakers, who begin the season Tuesday against Houston amid the usual trade rumors, this time an Internet report that the Lakers and Chicago were stepping up discussions about Bryant.

Lakers officials declined to comment on the record, although, as one said, “You can go to sleep tonight without worrying about a thing.”

I’m really just so sick of the constant rumors already. I’m a die hard Lakers fan and an even bigger Kobe fan but I’m at the point now where I just want them to trade him already. He deserves better than this mess the Lakers call an organization.

Call him what you will but without Kobe, L.A. would not have the 3 championship he helped win. The media has once again proven to be a complete disgrace at how everything has been twisted to create even more drama.

There is no trade in the world worth Kobe Bryant. L.A. will never get equal value. All this drama could have been avoided if L.A. had just kept its promise to Phil and Kobe to bring in talent to help him.

I would love to see Kobe as a Laker for life but after all of this Buss mess, I hope Buss ends up selling the team for a loss. His focus should’ve been to maintain that franchise instead of chasing 23 yr. old skirts while driving drunk.

You can defend Kobe all you want… but when you’re caught on camera stating that the owner is an idiot.. you don’t have much to stand on. The Lakers did everything they could, without being stupid, to get KG and JO. Kobe just never understood that he created all this hoopla. He can deny the wanting to trade Shaq thing all he wants… but everyone knows he is the catalyst behind that whole trade. Now he wants to b#$ch about how bad this team is? Please. They should just keep Kobe for 2 years of his prime. Aint no way we are trading Kobe for someone who is not even the best player on the other team! let him leave in 2 years and then we can have room to sign a FA.

I THINK FOR ALL THAT MONEY HE IS MAKING HE SHOULD JUST TRY AND PLAY THE GAME INSTEAD OF CRYING, HE SHOULD JUST SHOW WHAT HE CAN DO AND TRY WITH THE TEAM WE GOT BECAUSE WHERE EVER HE GOES THEY WOULD HAVE TO GUT THE TEAM AND HE WOULD BE IN A WORSE SITUATION THEN HE IS NOW

Told u guys even the damn officers says Kobe aint going nowhere

it’s true he might not be going anywhere but, alot of us real lakers fans sure wish he did. jerry buss has brought us magic, showtime, and championships. shaq brought us dominance and championships (although, i will concede he was also problematic in terms of being greedy and incapable of forging a much needed bond with kobe). what has kobe brought us??????? nothing but diva behavior and cheese whining.

agent zero! agent zero! agent zero!

For all haters of Kobe let’s think for a minute. Forget the animosity towards him ask this question to yourself would you squander the best basketball player in the league’s years just to fill seats and merchandise or would you build around him for championships so you can fill more(plus jack up tickets prices),it’s called hustlin’ not PIMPIN’.Seems like the thing to do these days if your an owner(reffering to the latter).

EASTCOASJESSIE you said “L.A. would not have the 3 championship he helped win.”…..but at the same time Kobe would not have his three Championships if it weren’t for LA ( :

WTF ARE YOU CRAZY?? WHAT HAS KOBE BROUGHT US??? Kobe is the best basketball player alive, all those players you mentioned had someone amazing next to them, no one did it alone, they all depended on each other to win championships, and if you wanna talk INDIVIDUAL stats and dominance, you’re absolutely crazy to try to think for one second that kobe isn’t the best individual performer on BOTH sides of the court.

lakerforlife23..individual stats??? individual stats???…are YOU F-ING crazy! last time i checked, basketball is a TEAM sport…yes all those guys had players that supported them…and no doubt that all those guys can produce individual stats (EECCCKKKKHHHHH!!!!! nasty) like KOBE if they wanted to be diva-like just like him. but those players were smart and made sure they didn’t alienate their organization, teammates and much less us fans.

mplakers, you spoke about individual dominance and im saying Kobe is the most dominant of the people listed above. Through the promises that jerry buss made, his prime years of his career are being wasted and the lakers HAVE NOT MADE ANY FUC(king) moves to make them championship contenders and he DESERVES that.

trade kobe to washington! for hibachi!

ARENAS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A KOBE WANNA BE…AND DO THINK KOBE WOULD GO TO D.C…..YOU NEED TO STOP SMOKIN…NOW!!!1

  18. 18 lakeshow08

THANK YOU FOXXY, ARENAS HAS 3/4 OF KOBES OFFENSE AND 50% OF HIS DEFENSE. KOBE NEEDS TO SEE HOW THINGS GO AT LEAST UNTIL THE TRADE DEADLINE AND MAKE THE BEST OUT OF HIS CURRENT TEAM AND TEAMATES. I HOPE HE CHANGES HIS MIND BECAUSE HE’S HANDS DOWN THE MOST DOMINANT PLAYER IN THE GAME. IF HE GOES I’LL MISS HIM AND WE BETTER GET SEVERAL GOOD PIECES TO MAKE UP FOR SOME OF THE STATS, BUT STILL
    THERE’S ONLY ONE KOBE.
