BEC

I like to think I am a Laker fan and I know that I know about basketball. Obviously When Kobe Doesn't lead his team, and takes 25 shots during the regular season, they are not going to have a great record. Not having a great record = getting a bad seed in the playoffs = getting a bad seat in the playoffs = playing a good team = playing a good team = possibility of losing. If we play Phoenix we are going to lose but if Kobe was a team player and we finished with a better record than we would not have played Phoenix, Lakers have enough talent to get out of the first round. Look at the situation from the outside, not as a stubborn fan.

You guyz also need to remember that Kobe himself is a Laker fan! He has being a Laker fan even when he was in italia. So when does being a Kobe fan becomes being against the Lakers? You guyz are just pathetic. You guyz sound like a girl trying to keep her boyfriend from breaking up with her after he found out that she’d lied to him. Well, if you want him to stay sooo bad, give him a blow-job or something. Make a move that would blow his mind. If you can’t do that, then shut the hell up and watch him walk away.

Lakersfirst, Points well made. But why do you guyz keep living in the past? The lakers USED to win championships. Dr. Buss WON 50,000 titles. Both verbs are past tense! The truth is the franchise have taken a break from winning and they are kind of shocked by Kobe's reaction. It's like they've being on vacation and suddenly they realize their house is on fire. I am a laker fan, but I am more of a Kobe fan. And the reason is simple, HE IS ONE OF THE REALEST PEOPLE ON TV, perharps more than the POPE! The reason I say that is because of all his imperfections. Every other personality out there that you guyz consider classy/perfect, are simply ACTORS. They have perfected the skills of manipulating you. I'd rather be around Kobe than some Tim Duncan who has a "perfect" image. The reason why there are so much hate in the media and now in Lakerdom towards Kobe is simply because he lets you know what's on his mind. And when you compare him to anybody else in the league, you go "damn kobe is just plain evil".

And as far as him wanting to leave the Lakers, I'd hate to see it happen, but I'd also hate to see his prime wasted! So ask yourself this question:

Would you rather see Kobe finish his career as a laker and not win another championship or Would you rather see him play on pluto with an opportunity to win one or two?

Well, I'd rather see him play on Pluto.

Saying that Kobe would win a championship with this line-up is like saying Ben Wallace in going to shoot 95% from the free throw line the rest of his career. IT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO HAPPEN....NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, you're only a Kobe fan and NOT A LAKER FAN. If that is true, then allow me to point you to KB24.com and you can sing his praises there. This is a site for TRUE LAKER FANS ONLY (not Kobe only fans).

"Even if Kobe gets traded, I WILL STILL BE A LAKER FAN" - These are the type of fans that should be at this site.

We understand Kobe wants to win NOW, so do us Laker fans, however, the way Kobe has gone around and publicly bashed his teammates, his GM and the owner of the Lakers is a disgrace and only makes it harder for the FO to get any real deals done. You can thank Kobe for us not having KG here for his public rant about how our FO is in disarray and you can thank Kobe for stating his infamous "do something and do it now" cry and making the Lakers look desperate in front of the entire league (why do you think Indiana asked for BOTH Bynum and Odom for Jermaine O'Neal - because he made the Lakers looked desperate). You can also thank Kobe for taking ALL negotiating power away from the Lakers when he publicly asked to be traded. The keyword here if you are so ignorant to take note is "PUBLICLY". You do not bash your teammates the way he did, bash the GM the way he did nor do you bash the owner of the team (his employer), in public, the way he did and expect to get any positive accomplished. Why would NBA players want to come here when you have an egotistical a** like Kobe who will publicly throw you under the bus.

You think us Laker fans are only thinking of ourselves, but we are thinking about winning a championship as a team. Kobe is the one who thinks of himself ("I'm tired of being a sidekick" from Phil Jackson's book).

I believe you are very wrong when you say Dr. Buss does not want to win anymore. Under Jerry Buss the Lakers have won 8, count them, 8 championships. When you win that many titles you want to continue to keep winning, but looking back at it, Kobe has been a real pain and has contributed to the Lakers being unable to acquire top talent. He didn't want Shaq so the Lakers got rid of Shaq, in a terrible deal. He doesn't want to share the spotlight with another superstar and now look where he is, ready to abandon L.A. Kobe helped create this mess and now he wants us to sit in it.

You're a Kobe fan, that's fine, but REMEMBER, this is a Laker site for true Laker fans, you know real fans who support their team through thick and thin. As a Kobe only fan, leave this site now and do not return for you are not wanted here by true Laker fans. Go to the Kobe site and praise him there. When Kobe gets traded, drop your bandwagon Laker jersey on the floor (never wear your Laker jersey again) and don't the let the door hit you on the way out - bandwagon fan.
Does anyone here speak English!?? Kobe said he wants to win- NOW! Not after Andrew becomes and all-star. NOW! So why should he withdraw his trade demands if nothing has changed?? You guyz are only thinking about yourselfs and not Kobe’s career. Can you imagine if kobe stays with the lakers and he retires without winning anything anymore? Would you rather listen to the haters talk about what a fraud and a fluke he was because he never won without shaq? Well as a Kobe fan, I don’t want that. So, if it means he’s only opportunity is for him to play in toronto, I don’t care as long as he wins another ring! The laker owner is tired of winning. So the lakers owner and management can go to hell for all i care. GO KOBE!

[Comment ID #15870 Will Be Quoted Here]

All these issues are the fault of one man and that man's name is Kobe Bryant. Kobe had Phil Jackson and Shaq, only to run them out of town. After having a crappy first year being at the helm of the Lakers (34-48), Kobe, the man who Coach Jackson said was "uncoachable" had no choice but to take back Phil Jackson.

No matter how anyone looks at it, Kobe created his own mess. He knows his Lakers suck (and suck bad), and now he wants to abandon them and the city that stuck by him throughout the years (i.e. his issues in Colorado). No matter how often Phil Jackson, Jerry West or even Magic talked to him about making peace with Shaq, about the need to suit up at least two superstars in order to win a title, Bryant wouldn't listen. Even Phil Jackson wrote in his book that Kobe said, "I'm tired of being a sidekick,". Kobe wanted to win a title without Shaq and now that he can't do it, he wants to abandon L.A.

The Lakers decided to keep Kobe and dump Shaq, because they wanted to keep the "kid" happy, and in dumping Shaq, the Lakers got a TERRIBLE DEAL - we didn't even get the Miami Heat's best player at the time. I know people think that Kobe had nothing to do with Shaq's trade, but wake up and smell the coffee people, Kobe was the main reason Shaq was traded. Kobe even recently said he wished now that the issue between him and Shaq was kept private. At least Jordan had the intelligence to realize that he needed another superstar (i.e. Pippen) and they went on to win 6 championships together.

The Buss' trusted Kobe and basically handed him the franchise but Kobe has proven to be unreliable. Sure he's a great basketball player but he can't lead a team to save his life. To quote a recent article, Kobe "is the man who once said he trusted his teammates, but trusted himself more. This is the guy who wouldn't shoot the ball in a sudden-death playoff game against the Suns. This is the employee who did a series of interviews demanding a trade, and who mocked his GM and a teammate, Andrew Bynum, for a couple of strangers packing a cell-phone camera.", not to mention in the same interview he said "Get a Bulls uniform, fellas,".

No matter how you look at it Laker fans, Kobe created his own mess and wants the city of Los Angeles to sit in it, while he goes to Chicago.

this matter was closed until jerry buss brought it up… if he never did.. the kobe trade talks were done months ago……. buss opened his mouth.. and boom.. the rumors fly every day.

kobe trade demand was and is still in effect. the only thing buss did was tell other gm’s that he would be willing to listen to offers because kobe still wanted a trade yesterday, today and tomorrow.

[Comment ID #15761 Will Be Quoted Here]

kobe trade demand was and is still in effect. the only thing buss did was tell other gm's that he would be willing to listen to offers because kobe still wanted a trade yesterday, today and tomorrow.

this matter was closed until jerry buss brought it up… if he never did.. the kobe trade talks were done months ago……. buss opened his mouth.. and boom.. the rumors fly every day.

These are sad times, my fellow laker fans. I never knew how much of a laker fan I was, till now. I can't concentrate on anything else but whats goin on with the lakers and all these trade rumors. Days are gloomy in Lakerland. Its hard to grasp but its even more evident now than in the summer, that we are about to lose the greatest player to follow the Jordan Era.
