Kobe on rumors to SA, envies Duncan & Spurs
Saw some interesting quotes from Kobe.
MySA.com: “I just heard I was buying Michael’s house, and I’m moving into Oprah’s penthouse, or some crazy stuff,” Bryant said of one report that surfaced in Chicago, where Michael Jordan still has a mansion and Oprah Winfrey produces her TV talk show.
In fact, the Spurs haven’t even been a whisper of a rumor [Kobe to S.A.], and there is a reason.
“They’re the champions,” Bryant said. “If they weren’t, they probably would have been in the conversation.”
When Duncan signed the two-year contract extension that made him a Spur for life, Bryant took note, with a large measure of envy. “He’s got an incredible situation,” Bryant said. “His relationship with Popovich and R.C. (Buford) and all the guys, it’s first class, stuff, man. First-class stuff.“
