Alright, I had to post my take. Last night after the game, Phil Jackson made a funny joke - as he often does to the media. Apparently, some of the media/press found his comments to be inappropriate and some analysts, Jemele Hill and Sean Salisbury, discussed how it was highly inappropriate it was and said, “Stern should take action.”
Here is the video thanks to SILO:
It will be interesting to see if the league takes action or not - either way, gave me a laugh.

It was just a bad joke, I don’t think he meant anything bad by it and don’t see how anything bad can be taken from it.
Just laugh it off and move on….Some people are so touchy these days
Thanks for the video SILO. I’ll record ESPN for more…
That was halarious.
Great analysis by PJ. Let’s man up tonight and leave this brokeback stuff behind us.
No problem. Anything i can do to help the site.
that was awesome phil!!! what did phil do wrong and who did he offend?
can anyone tell me exactly what Phil said im having trouble making out his words???
People are too sensitive these days. When I heard that clip on First Take this morning, I laughed.
It’s funny how that one guy said it was pathetic and he kept saying he never saw the movie or anything so how would he know what Phil was talking about haha. This is a get it over comment, and he should not be fined or suspended for anything for saying brokeback and penetration in the same sentence hahaha
you know what? jemele hill and sean salisbury are “brokeback”…people cannot take a joke nowadays…there’s a difference between being malicious and being downright hilarious and what phil said was a “knee-slapper”
Give me a break! isnt there more things inlife to worry about?
im sure phil had time to think of bad jokes during the game seeing how we were getting handled hahah.
ok after hearing it a second time heres what i heard “we called this the brokeback mountain game because of all the penetrating and kickout” i totaly liked his joke i found it very funny the only reason why that idiot from espn was bothered by them is because he’s probably a homosexual himself but even then i dont see why he was bothered, what a lame!!!
I personaly pointed up laughing!!! PUL PUL PUL
Yeah, what’s the bfd? He didn’t say anything bad about gays, just saying, “our defense got f’d”. He’s comparing it to a recent movie that is notable for having lots of sex in it. The fact that its gay sex doesn’t mean anything, and Phil didn’t say anything bad about gays. If he mentioned a movie where the people having sex where black, would they say he’s a racists? Or if it were a movie with interacial sex would they say he’s being an old fashioned biggot? But if he said some movie with a white man and a white woman having sex, the joke would have been okay with the moral police at ESPN. WTF?! You gotta have something against homosexuality in your head in order to see that joke as bad. If your cool with people however they choose to live, like I’m sure Phil is, then the joke is just funny. Damn, what a bunch of freaking retards….j/k.
OMG! Phil’s apology on ESPN.com…hilarious! Beautiful! Genius! Now that’s why Phil is the best. He basically said, “I’m not a comedian,F-You ESPN, anyone who was hurt by my comments, sorry, but learn to take a joke.” Sorry, can’t find a utube link. That has to be one of the best public apologies of all time.
PJ’s apology was even funnier than the comments. He said it with a straight face too… Not an exact quote, but “I’m not Jay Leno or David Letterman, I’m a basketball coach, so thank you ESPN for bringing it to my attention and making a big deal out of this. I apologize if I offended any cowboys or anyone with big hats in Texas or any horses”
Dude, Silo, you’ve got to YouTube that apology man!
i will see what i can do. LD2k will probably beat me to it. That apology was funny though.
The {Profanity isn't allowed on theLakersNation.com -- Please go back and edit your comment. Thank you.}in black girl says I don’t even know what this has to do with the game. Wtf she is {Profanity isn't allowed on theLakersNation.com -- Please go back and edit your comment. Thank you.}in stupid. How can u not make that connection from the game to the movie. This girl is {Profanity isn't allowed on theLakersNation.com -- Please go back and edit your comment. Thank you.}in stupid. Yeah he made a mistake by saying this in public but its all just for laughs. And how can that white foo say all that crap like players would be crucified or Mark Cuban would take it harder when he doesn’t even the joke means. ESPN is full of retards and fags.
did anyone see bynum yelling at phil when he got benched after an airball with time running down…then when mihm was facialized by a bonzi wells layup…bynum jumped out of the bench and yelled something like,” I FFFF—IIIINNNNGGG TOLD YOU, I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!”
bad and good …shows fire but, he’s trying to show up a hall of fame coach and although he’s on the rise he’s still a 20 year old kid who hasn’t accomplished much yet…he needs to respect phil more.
naw i didnt see that. lol.
you go bynum. love that kid.
Yea, she’s a total hipocryte you know that deep down inside she wanted to laugh but it’s not the first time that an employee kisses a$$ to get in good with their employers.I also want to add that i hate Bill Walton and basicly ESPN i think they are all Laker haters.Wtf Bill you’re son play’s for that team that you always have negative comments about you a$$hole!!!
Those butthurt analysis need to lighten up. Sean Salisbury sounded like a closet brokeback watcher.
PHIL JACKSON’S APOLOGY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG5c_WFc6ac
wow, people are way to sensitive now a days. i really dont think phil affended anyone but these brokeback analysis!
ESPN IS A “JOKE”
thank you, i love the way he said if he ofended any horses that was too funny this demonstrates he cares less about what espn thinks i like the way he sarcasticly apologized
I didn’t think the joke warranted all of the media attention. It’s amazing how quickly the media runs with a story. I didn’t laugh at the joke, but I didn’t find it harsh. It was just a bad joke. People overreact too much these days. It wasn’t even a snipe at the gay community, yet GLAAD writes ESPN to denounce the joke or what have u.
no! it was a good joke
you’re lame! the joke was fuuuuunnnnnnnyyyyyyy
why is everyone getting so butt hurt about these comments? I dont get it.
As far as I know…ALL THREE OF THOSE ARE THE PATHETIC ONES….what PJ said was just humorous. Like he said, ” he didn’t mean to offend any cowboys, texans, gays, lesbians or even any horses” come on people can’t you take a JOKE!!!
