I agree in hindsight butler for Kwame has been a mistake, but it did make sense then because bigs are so hard to find and draft because they come around so rarely and you have to have one of the top picks like portland who got oden.

As far as the Shaq trade that has been known as a Firesale and they had to do that quickly so that kobe would resign with the lakers. If they kept Shaq, you would never have kept Kobe. Who would you have chosen??? Shaq or Kobe I think the lakers made the right choice in choosing kobe.
