Kobe, Lakers on same page; won’t ask to be traded again

Kobe clearifies a myth about, if the Lakers will do bad, he might ask out again. Good little read and it sounds like Kobe is truly on the same page with his teammates.

PE.com: The most pointed question was when he was asked to address the perception that if the Lakers’ play slips that he’ll ask to be traded again.

“That’s not true,” Bryant responded. “That’s not the first thing they would be wrong about.”

Bryant said the “turning point” was a conversation he had with his teammates before the season started in October.

“I went to the guys and kind of talked to them about the business side of the game, ’cause the business of basketball a lot times can really mess things up,” Bryant said. “I wasn’t the only player that was being talked about in trade discussions. Lamar (Odom), he was talked about in trade discussions, as well as some other players.

What if Kobe is playing like sh!t to have a trade for him happen with-out the other team giving up too much.Would the Lakers fall for something like that???His playing this year has been really inconsistent. What happened to the Kobe of last year when they faced the Blazers??? he was amazing that night, so far this year he has not been the same…

But you said if Kobe was traded to another team you would root for kobe and the other team so if Kobe was traded to the Celtics then you would root for Kobe and the Celtics. That is not a LAKER 4 LIFE. That is a kobeonlyfan 4 life.

Well this is good news. Now that the bench and other players are finally stepping up we might go somewhere is the middle of May other than home.

Is that what that means? I think that means he won’t ask for a trade during the season. What about the summer?

    Per the LA TIMES:

Bryant revealed on the record that the Knicks were on his short list of teams that he wanted to be traded over the summer, joining Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix.

He also declined another opportunity to retract his trade demand.

“I’m not going to address the situation,” he said to a question from a New York reporter. “I’m going to focus on our team and focus on one thing and one thing only, that’s the New York Knicks.”

    He gave his reasons.

“Since training camp, we all said that we weren’t going to address the situation, we weren’t going to talk about it,” he said. “I’m going to continue to live up to my end of the bargain.”

The status quo from day 1 will remain unchanged for the entire season. Win, and that is all there is to it. No mystery work here.

Indirectly it has made the Lakers younger players work harder.

It has also indirectly killed the Trulls players chemistry and trust between their fans and coach which I find is unbelievably hilarious.

“Kobe Bryant, he’s an assassin!” in Kevin Harlan’s or Marv Albert’s voice.

YOur two faced, foxxy. A laker 4 life doesn’t root for another team like the celtics just because Kobe is on it. Your a kobeonly fan. There are a few of them on here and that is ok, but you try to play both sides. your nose is way too far up his rear end.

Agreed, I am a Lakers-ONLY Fan. If Kobe goes to another team, I won’t cheer for him for I will want him to lose and lose BAD. I was a Shaq fan while he was on the Lakers, but now that he is on that crappy Heat team, I don’t cheer for him and I hope he and the Heat lose every game this season. If you’re a Laker fan, you support ONLY the Lakers.
