Kwame, Sasha, Mihm, number one pick AND Farmar? Screw the Nets! They're out of their minds! Leave out Farmar and make the deal. If another player is needed throw in LUKE. The Lakers would be FOOLS to trade Farmar, Crit, Ariza, Turiaf or Bynum. We should be looking to get rid of our GARBAGE (i.e., Lame-ar, Kwame, Luke, Sasha, and Mihm) not trading our core! Years ago the Lakers did not trade Michael Cooper for an aging veteran! I hope after this season Kidd leaves the Nets and they get NOTHING for him. They are out of their minds. Look what we got for Shaq! We should bend over backwards for the Nets. SCREW 'EM!

Kwame is definitely needed his post defense is superb, plus other than Shaq he is the strongest man in the post and is a great compliment to Bynum.

So far this year he has shut down the opposing big mans game (Stoudemire, Duncan, Wallace, Boozer) and held Yao to 33% shooting last game.

We know he has terrible hands on offense but he has great hands on defense.

I hope if Kwame plays,he won't take awhile to get back into the swing of things... kind of just comes back strong. Bynums D isn't the greatest, but his blocks have been going up, and just his presence is intimidating.

well first good news that he is coming back. this well give drew some rest during games but also we dont have to see mihm so much in the game. the one thing i dont get is why is everyone so eager to trade him for kidd or jo. if jo sucks that bad against the east teams how bad do you think he will be when he is in the west going up against all the great pf. he is avg 16pt 7 reb. lamar is getting us 14 and 9. i say we keep kwame till the end of the season use that 9 mil coming off the books to get brand if he is healthy. as for kidd he is good but you have fish and farmar playing great right now you dont need anyone coming and ruining the chemistry of this team. barring major injury to drew or kobe we will have a 4-5 spot and make some noise in the playoffs. next year you can bring in a good pf and this team will be amongst the elite in the west.

Great News!! I don't think people realize how important he is to the team. Once he's back at full health I hope he starts. Bynum works GREAT with the bench and I don't think the Lakers need another scorer in there with Kobe, Fish, and Odom. Instead they can use him when they have Farmar (scorer, but not on the level of Kobe), Vladi and Sasha (outside shooters), and Ariza (mainly defense but can drive and get to the line well). Plus Farmar and Bynum work so well together. I know Bynum is the better center but i'd rather have him playing with the 2nd unit.

I think Kwame is needed for the sole purpose of his defense. He's a good post up defender and at this point and time, might be stronger than Bynum and can hold his defensive position better than Bynum. Kwame does play better defense against the wider/strong centers like Shaq, Curry, and perhaps even Dwight Howard, etc).

Not to mention, he's another 6 fouls that can be used and he will give Bynum time to rest and not play 40+ minutes per night. Having Kwame in the rotation will allow also Turiaf to backup LO at the 4 spot, instead of Turiaf having to be forced to play the backup to both the center position and the power forward position.

[Comment ID #20392 Will Be Quoted Here]

This is not what I heard on 570am. What I heard on 570 was that the Nets wanted Farmar to be involved in the trade but the Lakers are reluctant to trade Farmar and offered Critt instead, but the Nets really want Farmar because he's already proven to be a young decent NBA player.

We don’t need him. The Lakers have made more overtures about acquiring Jason Kidd, but the Nets weren’t interested in the offer, according to the New York Post.

The Lakers reportedly offered Kwame Brown and his expiring $9 million contract, Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic, Chris Mihm and a No. 1 draft pick.

The Lakers weren’t willing to make Lamar Odom part of the deal, just as they wouldn’t give up Andrew Bynum when the Lakers tried to acquire Kidd last season.

Let’s use the same players and get JO instead, only take out Farmar and put in Crittenton. Sign Webber to back up Bynum and a free agent SG to back up Kobe.
