I was watching the Lakers Celtics rivalry stuff on NBA TV today (instead of cleaning my carpets and doing laundry like I was supposed to be doing), they were showing they were showing the game 6 of the 87 finals. It was awesome and now I learn the Lakers are going to be where the 87-88 jerseys and the short shorts. Now all I need to see is Bynum do a skyhook a la Kareem.

and the 3’s arent what concerned me from lamar, it was those missed
layups during the 1st half.. We had it down to like 6 at the end of the 3rd but then we crumbled..

I think it’s safe to say we’ll never see those short shorts again.
Refs dictated the Laker come back and momentum in the third quarter. Lakers got it down to 6 when Pierce drove the lane and Kwame stood in to take a charge. Oh wait, refs called a foul on Kwame instead sending Pierce to the line to complete a 3 point play. If that play had been called the way it should have been Lakers could have come back down and maybe scored a 2 or 3 pointer and cut the lead to 3 sending Celtics to a timeout with Lakers having momentum and confidence builder. Instead they get more fustrated and take a bad shot and it became a blowout from there.
there was alot more questionable calls than just that one but yes that one was important

This game was basically our measuring stick and it shows tonight that for us to compete at the next level, we need another piece.
As far as the short-shorts go, he unless the Celts were doing it themselves we shouldn’t have done it. As a player it would have gotten to mentally if they were taunting about the shorts.

Guys, those shorts were BOTH 80’s and 90’s- some guys wore the shorts from the 80’s, but most of them, Kobe especially, wore the kind from the early 90’s! Now I know you’re all too young to remember the 80’s, but back then guys off the court wore that style! They weren’t sports shorts, no, just regular shorts for going ANYWHERE! They were the norm, TONS of guys wore that style, and we just called them shorts, not short-shorts! If you don’t believe me, just check out Flicker under 80’s and shorts, and see how many people have pictures of theirself wearing those NORMAL shorts!
