While I love Kobe, Rip is a pretty sick 3 point shooter when no one is covering him. Out of all the players there, however, Kobe can shoot the 3 ball under pressure better than any of them.
Rip needs to stand in front of Kobe in the contest and watch him drain the 3s’.
But his trash talk is good enough for Kobe to stir up a score of 25+ in the contest.

Everyone needs to chill, Kobe and Rip have been friends and rivals since high school in philly. RIP is just putting pressure on Kobe, I like how everyone here thinks they are kobe’s bodyguard. If anything this should make kobe more competitive and hopefully win the contest. In my opinion, either Peja or RIP will win it but I would love to see kobe get hot like he did in seattle a couple years ago.

they both go way back. theyre both competitive, and im sure they talk trash to each other all the time. its friendly banter. its not like rip is gonna go out there and clothline kobe. rip is a great shooter, but im curious to see how kobe does unguarded. he seems to get hot and cold sometimes from the arc, but i have a feeling he might get real hot in the contest and do surprisingly well.

I think kapono will win. I saw a video of him practicing for the shootout, and he only missed once. He’s like a machine, same stroke every time. I hope Kobe wins though.
