Lakers among those interested in Barry

Now that Vlad “Rad” is day-to-day, should the Lakers be interested in picking him up? Sound-off in the comments and tell us what you think.

Boston.com: The Sonics waived the 13-year veteran combo-guard Thursday after acquiring him the same day in a trade from the Spurs. The 6-foot-7-inch, 210-pounder will become an unrestricted free agent at 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday assuming he clears waivers, and is expected to get interest from Boston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Denver, Houston, Golden State, and the Lakers.

This season we have too many players that are capable of playing Small Forward. Some are injured right now. Maybe next season we should look for a SF depends on the status of Ariza.

Right now we should be looking for a backup Power Forward. Looks like Mbenga’s not working out for us.

i like it b/c come playoff time this guy can just light it up.. make like 4 threes off the bench.. veteran.. good passer.. why not pick him up??

Because come Playoffs, all we have for a backup is Mbenga.

Oops and Ronny Turiaf as backup PF/C.

Chemistry is wrong. Don’t make any more changes. They will have enough on their hands reintegrating Bynum and Ariza.

If the Lakers were to sign Barry, it would be a defensive move to prevent other teams such as Phoenix, San Antonio, Boston, etc, from signing him.

well, when you have farmar, fish, sasha, radman, and barry, you have 5 guys shooting .400+ from 3 point range

do it mitch another great pickup

    I’d like the move.

    But its doubtful.

    Another fire power.

Do it…Barry is more of a presence at the three than Walton…

yeah i agree. it’d be more of a defensive move to keep him out of the other teams in the west. if so, do it. won’t hurt to have another shooter coming off the bench

  13. Gravatar Icon 13 RD

do it! i dont see a reason not to! it wont hurt us, what-so-ever.

  14. Gravatar Icon 14 kobe-wan kenobi

    I m ok with that
but we should heavily try to get magloire!!!!!!

  15. Gravatar Icon 15 KB

we should get him cuz if they dubble bynum or gasol just kick it out 2 him or kobe

i think it would be a waste of money though because were would he play we have rad for the threes so i think its not smart

  17. Gravatar Icon 17 PhantoM

If rad injury was very severe, i would say this would be ideal for us
    to get him..

other wise only reason to acquire barry is to not let other teams
    get him.

i say vlad inst that threat of a 3 point shooter cause when he gets the ball he drives in if we get berry he consistently makes them

  19. Gravatar Icon 19 iLakers

barry does not consistently make the 3…cmon now.

we don’t need him, he doesn’t know the system, the players we have now know the system, and we’re gellin pretty good right now.

    so i say NO.

i say Barry can BURY himself! :-D
