It wouldn't hurt to acquire Gerald Green, especially if it's on the cheap, and at least for the remainder of this year. There is no doubt he is physically gifted and talented. Only for some mysterious reason/s he can't latch on with a team permanently...I agree, with correct and aggressive mentoring, this guy might just turn out to be a diamond in the rough.

For those that don't believe that Gerald Green's game is perfect for the way The Lakers play,CHECK YOUTUBE(GET'CHA POPCORN READY)! The NBA needs more mentors so talents like G.G. don't get waisted and become the Harold Miner's or Sam Bowie's of the league. It's a shame what happens to these players but here's a player who doesn't have horrible things said about him like fights, bad tempered or the like,so I don't know what the deal is? Get GG around a KB or DF and The Lakers are set even when Kobe retires.

Correction: It was Martin, who pushed Sasha down, before Beno ran over Sasha and got the cheap call...not Garcia.

Hey dcb2069; In your face defense, followed by a legit flop is a science used and mastered by MANY very clever defenders in this league...Such as a Manu Ginobili, who is one of the best at it.
Do you think Manu is a liability? Complaining when one fouls or hacks another has NOTHING to do when one takes a charge or flops...Like I said before, Sasha is doing a GREAT job baiting defenders into technical fouls due to his sticky tenacity. He only needs to cut down on pleading his case on almost every call...He needs to bite his tongue and give the ref the benefit of the doubt on some of his fouls. In conclusion, when Sasha was pushed down by Garcia, who was trying to get free from his sticky defense, he was already stationary on the ground, long before Beno ran over him and wildly threw up the shot in prayer fashion...This usually gets a non call, especially at the end of all games. On this occasion, Sasha was not flopping, he was actually fouled offensively...Go look at the replay, if you have it at your disposal and you will see the light.

Let me just point out some things...

Lakers: Can't or wont defend the pick and roll...

Derek Fisher: did a decent job defensively. Gasol and Odom (let's call them Center and Power Forward) left the paint open for lay-up drills...again. Last line of defense my @$$.

Luke Walton: makes me cringe when he handles the ball. Am I the only one who turns psychic for a few seconds and calls it every time he turns it over??? What is up with those," I'm 3 feet away from my team mate, and he's got his back turned so I'll pass it to him even though he's in a crowd," passes he does at least 3 times a game...WTF is that!!?? Kill yourself for that Luke Walton...

Radmonovich: Fouling is not the same as defense.

Sasha: I'll give it to you...you were fouled and the non-call (there we're so many this game) hurt us, but...Your constant b!tching on literally EVERY call is making you a liability. I mean every call Sasha,...you've never fouled anyone in your life really??

Odom: There is such a thing as over passing...

Lakers again: Refuse to get in position for offensive boards. Happens every game...Don't believe me?? Watch the next game. They start back peddling b4 the ball leaves anyone's hand like it's already been made...WTF!?

Phil: You are the greatest but,...Luke Walton man, (sigh) I mean really, seriously, Luke Walton?? Sit him down, please...

Kobe: You bring the Lakers back from the dead...what can I say...I'm just dissapointed the other Lakers weren't looking 4 you earlier towards the end. They relied on every one else and waited until the last second to have daddy come bail them outta there mess...Can't get them outta every problem. Guess these kids are gonna have to learn on their own...

For those that will be quoting me or calling me a band wagon fan later: I love the Lakers...More so than they love themselves at times...That's why a lack of effort is unnacceptable...(Refer to Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, and Smush Parker). Sure we'll be fine after this loss, but it's the things that you don't do that matter that much more in the playoffs...Playoffs are almost here. Sure other teams can have a great game. This was not the case though. Let's right our wrongs put to rest our bad habits, and stay on the winning road. Let's remember we haven't won anything yet. Go Lakers...Amen.

I hate to say this cuz I really like Gasol, but the Lakers really miss Kwame's strength and defense on the inside!!!!(We should sign Kwame back in the off season to the league minumum)

Pau is just way too soft and light on the inside. Or hopefully when of if Bynum comes back that will solve the recent weakness inside.

Also ever since that trade or steal I should say happened, Farmar has been playing very out of character and has been making horrible decisions as well as shooting poorly, I guess him not having Crittenton in the rearview mirror anymore has made him play very subpar.

Hopefully he snaps out of it and hopefully the Lakers stop reading the papers and listening to the media about them being the best.

Go Lakers!!!!!!

[Comment ID #28962 Will Be Quoted Here]

i agree that we shouldn't panic, but we've been lackluster recently. there was portland twice, and the kings twice. we were able to pull something out in the end the first time against sac, but it won't always happen. no disrespect to the blazers and the kings (ok fine, i mean disrespect to the queens), but we should have handled them. i dont expect to win all four of the games on our upcoming road trip, but thats because the four are elite teams. it was a big problem last year--we beat the teams were not supposed to, and take a dump against the cellar dwellers. you're right, its only one loss, but i hope it isn't the start of a two week funk.
