Over at LG.net, member “JBIIRockets” posted a message basically saying the game was moved up. ABC is picking it up as we know and the Rockets could be on a 20 game win streak leading up to the game (they’ve won 18 in a row as of today):

You know ABC wouldn’t pick this game up if it was another team facing the Rockets. Showing the Lakers on ABC will help boost up their ratings cause they know Lebron and Cavs can’t do it. Not even on the Finals.

im happy we play on abc so the whole work can see the lakers destroy the rockets and there streak(THATS IF IT THEY WIN TODAY)
right, the 19 game streak the lakers had in 2000 was historical, and this may take that away

Jeff Van Gundy will probably be pulling for the Lakers to end his old teams streak. (IF he’s not in Detroit doing the Hornet/Pistons ABC game). I personally love Van Gundy’s commentary, almost as much as listening to Doug Collins kiss Kobe’s ass all over ABC.

Agreed, the Mark Jackson/Van Gundy color commentating team is way better than Hubie Brown’s color commentary. That guy is so old he’s starting to misidentify some of the players.
