The Lakers continued their outstanding shooting tonight. They shot 61% from the field, 52% from three, 84% from the line, and had 8 different players score double figures. It was one of the better offensive efforts I have seen this year from a team, except Denver of course.
The Lakers had 36 assists to only 9 turnovers. Defensively, they gave up 47% FGs, a little better than Phil probably wanted, but they forced 16 turnovers. With this 25 point rout, the Lakers improved to 48-21 on the season, with a 1 game lead for first place.
Now, the bests of the night…
Top 3 Laker Performers -
1) I thought Lamar played amazing. 5-6 shooting on his way to 13 points and 12 boards. He also had 4 assists and a steal.
2) Vlad Rad played great tonight also. 13 points on 9 shots, 6 boards, 5 assists, and 2 steals.
3) This can go to Kobe, Fish, Ronny, Farmar, Luke, Mbenga, or Sasha. Can’t go wrong with any of them. I’m going to give it to Luke because he needs it more than anyone. 8-11 shooting for 17 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists.
Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): I don’t think it is fair to give any current Laker the Smush of the Day. I’m going to give this to Mike Dunleavy for being fooled by Smush’s 14 points and 7 assists tonight vs Portland. Isn’t it strange how Blake gets 15 and 11 on the other end?
Play Of The Game: Luke’s oop to Farmar off the curl.
What To Look For Next Game: Look for the Lakers to continue their hot shooting. The Warriors don’t defend the perimeter well. I wouldn’t be surprised if both teams combined for nearly 230 points.
Game is Sunday @ 6:30 PM (FSN).

Sorry for the delay. Nevertheless, here it is…
Great read, Nugget.
I know this maybe off topic, but will you guys be putting up any Life With Luke episodes on, since this is the Lakers Nation?
You should have just given the STD to Smush, that would have been fitting.
STD That’s a funny name to call someone that plays bad. Sexually Transmitted Disease.
Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest)
I don’t think there’s any coincidence

Kobe looked like Spidey Man after he slam dunked that pass from Luke! I want to see more Spidey Man shots!
Great work Lakers!
