Gasol doesn’t progress; might comeback Sunday?

I was hoping to see him play Friday, since a bunch of us from TLN are going to the game. I know, were a selfish bunch. ;-) However, it doesn’t seem likely. Hopefully, he comes back Sunday so they can start that playoff push.

Locker Talk: Pau Gasol did not make enough progress to take the floor at practice Tuesday, Coach Phil Jackson said, possibly pushing Gasol’s return to Sunday at the earliest.

Gasol still has swelling and soreness in his sprained ankle but Jackson stopped short of calling it a setback.

“He didn’t improve between Saturday and today,” Jackson said.

The Lakers had hoped that Gasol could practice Tuesday and be available Friday against Memphis. Asked about that target date, Jackson said, “I’m sure he’d like to be back for Memphis but I don’t know if that’s a possibility.”

The Lakers play Washington on Sunday.

we dont need him just yet…it sucks that he got injured in the first place but i think it was good for us…got more people to step up and gave LO a chance to show everyone he can still do what he does without a big man on the floor.

  2. DCLAKER says:

Take your time. As the playoffs are but a month away,it’s better to have Pau healthy than still banged up trying to figure out if that ankle is going to hold up.

The time will soon be upon us LAKERNATION as we celebrate the forming of…….LAKEZILLA(AB/PG/LO)!!!

  3. Sako says:

its best he rests so during the playoffs, the whole world will witness the Laker War Machine(KB/AB/PG/LO)

  4. MILO says:

The second of April is the best time for him to come back because Portland has good outside shooting and we need a big man in the post that can play there without creating three second violations (TURRIAF) This is a team that when shooting a high % is unstopable we cant match their shooting, sorry Fish and Sasha just telling it like it is…

  5. is this like a fur shure thing cuz im going to the memphis game too and i wanted to see him dominate his old team.

  12. DCLAKER says:

If he does, remember who said it,plus it would be only right seeings though that without his contract and Mitch trading Caron(lakernation still misses this guy,I live in DC….so)for Kwame then 3 yrs. later “THE KING OF LA” gets PAU!PAU!PAU!(1/3 of LAKEZILLA).

J.Critt may get an ovation(wish we didn’t have to trade’em,DAMN).

  13. we don’t need gasol back asap, it will give lamar and ronny a chance and we dont want to risk him injuring it even more.
