what Steve no post this after game 2? you want to make kb std again. The funny thing is his shooting % was much higher but as far as effectiveness he was as equal in game 1. lakers dominated both games with kb as the leader….

How valuable was kobe last game??? He got 32 points... subtract 4 pts for technical foul shots and you got only 28. That is not an efficient game. Look at gasol. 36 points on 20 shots... Walton ... 16pts. on 8 shots... that is efficient which kobe wasn't... kobe missed 17 shots and the shots weren't from being double team... Kmart played good D.. if he was double teamed he would have many more assists than just one... and why didn't he have more rebs than 3. Fish was smart enough not to shoot too many shots and he ended up with 4 assists and three rebs. playing less... he helped the offense run and therefore he had a +29... and all other starters had +20 or more. Production doesn't mean you performed good... You can make alot of cars but end up going out of business because it cost you too much to make... Kobe ate up alot of possesions and produced at a low rate.. not as well as every other laker.. therefore he got the std... Allow the fact that kobe can get the std and have a bad game... it will make you seem more objective. The laker success isn't determined on how many jumpers kobe takes... remember last year.. it is determined on getting the best percentage shot for the team.

You say I am wrong, but never prove it. Perhaps your guns have no bullets.

what do you mean i dont prove it? I showed you how valuable kb was during the game. that fg% dont mean sht as long as your pts exceed shot attempts. with your logic of the +/- ratio, lets say when kb sits and the rest of the lakers are on a hot streak and the nuggets go cold for no reason. how does that make anysense that kb is the std. with your logic kwame brown which has a higher fg% should shoot more than kb… which proves my point that you cannot go off fg% you have to look at the production of the player. 32 pts on 26 shots is a decent night. 3 pts on 5 shots is not and is more deserving of the std than kb. kb must take jumpers to keep the defense honest and to keep double team coming. even if his shot doesnt fall like what happened in the first half he must keep taking them for the sucess of the lakers…

Sometimes less is more. Twenty-six shots was too much because he was being contested by Kmart and he was getting tough looks at the basket. Also kobe only had one assist and 3 reb. The lakers did best when they pounded it inside. Fish only shot 5 times, maybe if he was 2-10 or 3-15. He pounded inside which was to the laker advantage and is why he had a plus +29. Fish also had four assist and 3 rebounds while playing less than kobe. Kobe is allowed to have an std. He is not immune.

what does the +/- measure?

+/- is what the team does when your out on the court. Kobe had a +3 so the team scored 3 more points than they allowed. Fish was a +29 so when he was out on the court the lakers scored 29 more points than allowed.

Avery what did I tell you… People never want kobe to be name std.. LOL

because he does so much for the lakers even when his fg % is down. you can not honestly say that kb’s 9-26 32 pts and providing open shots because of the double teams he gets is worse than Fish’s 1-5 3 pts and never gets gets a double team?
