Related Posts -O.C. Register: From a point-differential-per-game standpoint, the NBA’s top four regular-season teams were Boston, Detroit, the Lakers and Utah. The Jazz, however, did little of that damage on the road, where they went 17-24.
To win this series, Utah has to win at Staples Center, which is unlikely. If Utah can get hot from 3-point range and dominate the boards, the series could go the distance. If not, the Lakers will get more defensive stops and have Bryant to bring them home.
Lakers top Jazz, end 19-game home win streak
Jazz make no excuses for losing to Lakers

1st…..
If the lakers win both home games then I agree.
no i think lakers with this energy can repeat history i think they have what it takes to sweep ever team on the road to the finals
Either 5 or 6.
Lakers got this..
YEA I AGREE BUT I THINK THE LAKERS COULD DO IT IN 4 BECAUSE IF WE BEAT THEM AT SALT LAKE WITH TURIAF AT CENTER NOW IMAGINE WITH PAU AT CENTER I TINK HIS TO TALL AND TO GOOD FOR BOOZER OR OKUR SO IF WE KEEP PLAYING BALL LIKE WE’VE BEEN PLAYING IN THE LAST COUPLE OF GAMES WE COULD SWEEP THEM……
I say Lakes in 5 games…although a sweep is possible
We’ll win as long as the Utah crowd boo’s Fisher, unless they learned what happens when you mess with Kobe Bryant’s teammate lol
ronny is much quicker than pau though
I SAY….TE LAKERS IN 4 0R 5 AT MOST 6…WE CANT LET THIS TIME OF REST GET U TO A SHAKY START…WE [ALL] HAVE TO COME OUT FOCUSED AND READY FROM KOBE ALL THE WAY TO CHRIS MIHM…..
THE KEY: KOBE’S D ON D-WILL..U JUS KNO HE IS GOING TO GUARD HIM
It will go at least 6. Utah is better than people give them credit for. They made the WCF last year and they are better this year. They have improved as the year went on (just like the Lakers, both are young teams) and they match up pretty well with the Lakers. They are one of the few teams that can match the Lakers length in the front court (Odom, Gasol, Vlad/Walton Vs. AK47, Boozer, Okur). They also have a bench that is almost as deep as the Lakers. They like to play physical; they like to push and bump people hoping to wear them out. It should be an entertaining series, high scoring.
Key to the series for the Lakers:
Limit second chance points.
Slow Deron Williams down (he makes the team go, if you can slow him down the team will not be as efficient offensively)
Pick N’ Roll Defense
Pick N’ Roll defense (thought that was worth repeating.)
lakers in 5. period. kobe is so hungry for the ring that he will drop 100 if thats what it takes to win.. besides nobody on utah matches up well with kobe.. not even ak 47. and if ak guards kobe then who will guard lamars penetration? okur?i dont think so.. boozer? no nearly quick enough. too many weapons for the lakers
i hooope this man is right but idk utah is tough, guys
plus, they don’t got anybody to match up with Gasol, Odom and Gasol are gonna toss Boozer around becuase Okur plays on the outside
Theres no stopping the Lakers now……..SWEEP!!!!!!!!!
Exactly the things we need to do in this series! Rebounding will kill us if we don’t do it, also if the Lakers can somehow make Deron a scorer and not a playmaker then we’ll win for sure! Those are basically the two things we need to do in order to not have a Game 6. I doubt we’ll sweep, but a 5 game series with us as the victors suits me just fine, including we’ll be well-rested enough to go against the Spurs (I’m not even going to mention the Hornets, I mean, no offense to them, but seriously, Hornets beating the Spurs? That’s illogical, right?). Also I think we’ll have Ariza back by Mid-2nd Round probably at best, but you never know, they might end up saving him for Ginobili, as for Bynum, well, let’s just say he’s in a better place than on the floor (on his bed).
Sweet! Sweep!!
YES SIR. TOTALLY I AGREE.
the utah crowd is gonna boo kobe and fish every time they get the ball.
