Ariza ready to defend, Phil states he fits in to team plans for series

This is great news. Ariza will be key in our victory over the Celtics. As many have speculated, Ariza’s defense could be very important to this team in this years NBA Finals. Phil Jax even stated he fits in to the overall team plans for the series…

LakersFreedomBlogging: Jackson strongly hinted after Tuesday’s practice that Ariza likely fits into the overall team plan for the series. “I hope he’s going to have an opportunity to play,’’ Jackson said. “He can help us.’’

Said Ariza: “I can’t say what the situation is or will be, but I know when the time comes, I’ll be ready.’’

I hope his dunking ability will be up to par.

he needs to START the game.. Vlade is a liability on defense and we can’t afford for the Celtics to get an earlier lead on us.. Ariza will shut Paul Pierce down so the Celts will only have Garnett left since Ray Allen is struggling and/if he starts to make shots Kobe or Sasha will take care of him..

SOMEONE PLEASE POINT THIS OUT TO PHIL

He’s going to need to be used A LOT. He needs to be the primary defender on Pierce.
