Lakers Championship Tribute

Kobe's Circus Shot

Shaq: “I’m happy for him. And I’m proud of him [Kobe]“

Pretty interesting comments from Shaq on Kobe’s growth. Kobe mentioned how he wants his game to speak for itself. Check them out here…

ESPN: “He should,” said Shaquille O’Neal, reaching out to offer a few words about Bryant this past weekend. “He’s been great all year. He was great in the playoffs and he’s showing everyone what he’s made of. He’s on the verge of being the latest great one with four rings.

“He’s come a long way. All I can say is, I’m happy for him. And I’m proud of him.”

and you forgot his other quote…”and i want to play with him next year”

  2. True Lakers Fan says:

good that the Diseal is finally grown up!

  3. gugy says:

    Congrats for Shaq.
Too bad he did not come to this realization 4 years ago. If these two guys stayed together, LA would probably have couple more rings by now.
Oh well. It was 4 rough years, but the Lakers are back on top and Shaq will probably retire next year. No more rings for you sir.

  4. KOBE4EVER says:

Shaq: PLEASE TAKE ME BACK COME ON PHIL AND KOBE I’M SORRY PLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE MY NIGS TAKE ME BACK! I’M SORRY, SO F’ING SORRY, I WANT TO WIN, I’LL DO ANYTHING, I’LL COME OFF THE BENCH, I CAN BE ROBIN TO KOBE’S BATMAN, TAKE ME BACK!!! PULLLEEEEEZZZZZ!

  5. Michael_23 says:

If Shaq ever feels sentimental about the Lakers or Kobe and wants to close out his career by playing with the Lakers, he’ll have to come off the bench behind Andrew Bynum.

But Ronny is an exceptional shot blocker and has a very good attitude. He’s a very good complementary PF and/or C. He’s a good starter in some games. If Ronny’s game and team dynamics is more important than money, then he’ll be with the Lakers for a long time. I know other teams are gonna offer him big $$$ during the off season so I hope Ronny wont leave us. If you guys watch his documentaries, he came from a poor family so he may need to money to help his family out.

  6. Richard says:

What else was Shaq going to say? He still took a shot at saying that Kobe is on the verge of being another great one with 4 rings—or at least I took it that way. It’s too bad that Shaq didn’t have the motivation to stay in shape during the offseason and couldn’t be mature enough to curb his ego. Funny, but as “dominant” as he once was, he’s won just as many MVP’s as Kobe has.

  7. long legga lai says:

I may not be the smartest man on the universe, but if there’s one thing I know is that Shaq’s a bitch, thats all I know.

    Toilet paper my ass!

    B*itch.

[Comment ID #37995 Will Be Quoted Here]

At this point, he’d be lucky to be Batwoman or even Alfred Pennyworth.

  10. xtro says:

If Shaq wants anothe ring, the diesel should return to L.A. and be Bynum’s back-up. Check your ego at the door first.

  11. Paul says:

At least Shaq’s not all “Kobe’s still gonna lose” and whatnot.

To be honest.. I’m not sure if we really need Ronny Turiaf next year unless he plays as a PF because we already have Gasol, Bynum, and I guess Chris Mihm.

  12. Paul says:

Oh and we also have Luke Walton as a back-up forward..

  13. Shril says:

Well.. Too bad for him. Diesel is OUT.. GASOLine is In..

  14. Shaq WHO? Sorry guys, but I’m fighting off a panic attack with excitement about the Celtics faceoff on Thursday. Shaq is History!
