Finals ratings up 45% from ‘07

We knew this was coming. Crazy numbers increase…

OC Register Blog: How much sexier is Lakers-Celtics than Spurs-Cavaliers?

Approximately 45 percent.

That was the massive ratings jump ABC enjoyed for Game 1 of the NBA Finals compared to a year ago. Thursday night’s game averaged 13,384,000 viewers vs. 9,206,000 for Game 1 of Spurs-Cavs. The broadcast averaged more homes and viewers than any other show Thursday night. It also was ABC’s highest-rated and most-viewed NBA Finals Game 1 since Lakers-Pistons in 2004.

    Lakers Vs Boston= Alot Of People
    Game 7 = The whole world

    i really dont know how they get the actual ratings on how many people watch these games…i mean is there a machine that tallys up the number of TV sets are on a certain channel?…that weirds me out a lil bit…
