Thursday night’s game averaged 13,384,000 viewers vs. 9,206,000 for Game 1 of Spurs-Cavs. The broadcast averaged more homes and viewers than any other show Thursday night. It also was ABC’s highest-rated and most-viewed NBA Finals Game 1 since Lakers-Pistons in 2004.

i really dont know how they get the actual ratings on how many people watch these games…i mean is there a machine that tallys up the number of TV sets are on a certain channel?…that weirds me out a lil bit…
