Nation Discussion: Rivers vs. Phil
After game 2, many complained about the officials. The Celtics fans took pride in laughing at our players, fans and team by saying we’re a bunch of complainers about the officials. However, Doc Rivers made a comment about Phil in the post-game press conference:
I’m surprised he didn’t whine about fouls tonight.
Now last time I checked, Phil is up nine on your zero, Doc. Maybe you should concentrate on your team before running your mouth off on one of the greats.

Doc’s a hypocrite. Anybody else see him say after the plane ride to LA: “I felt we should’ve gone to the line more.”
IMO, Phil is gonna drop a bomb on Doc. Put up a picture of Doc and a picture of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in the locker room to fire up the team.
Phil made a great adjustment tonight for putting Kobe on Rondo, which really seemed to prevent his usual penetration. Doc melted in the 4th quarter running ineffective isolation plays with Paul Pierce.
he should be fined for talkin about the greatest coach ever. i could understand if he had nine rings but come on hes not even gonna win one this year

YEAH,DOC KNOWS DAMN WELL GAME 2 FAVORED HIS CELTICS…PHIL HAD EVERY RIGHT TO PUT THE REFS ON NOTICE…IVE HEARD OTHER T.V COMMENTATORS SAY THE FOUL CALLS WERE NOT BALANCED…SO GO SUCK ON A LEMON OR SOMETHING DOC!!!! THE GAMES SHOULD BE CALLED FAIR!!!!!!
I am one of the few who like Doc. He is not in the top 5 coaches n the league but he is not as bad as many think. He has taken a team that really has never played together within 2 games of a chip. However, on this comment i do think he showed alittle weakness by talking about Phil. It showed that Phil complaining about the calls bothered him. Perhaps, Phil will one up him tomorrow by complaining about certain moving screens and holding that the celtic frontline has been doing. The next game is going to be intense.

Please, Doc inherited a team that ANYONE could have coached!! Give me 3 all-stars in their prime (one of whom is a guaranteed hall of famer) and I could coach that team.
Doc’s coaching is very simple, the offense will revole around, Pierce, Garnett, and Ray Allen. Anybody else who scores is gravy. All other players focus on defense and expend your energy ONLY on defense.
Building a team of players who have never played with one another and having to learn a new system is not easy. And if you could coach them, you would be already coaching somewhere at a very high level. Thinking you can do something is quite different than Actually Doing something.
I usually don’t mind Doc. But I can’t stand him in this series! This whole “we are the better team” talk is driving me nuts. But I like what he said about PJ in the press conference. It shows that he’s falling into the Zen Masters trap. PJ will win the mind games all day long against Doc and Celtics. It only works to the Lakers advantage

Doc has 3 All-Stars on his team. Why are they all-stars? Because all-stars can contribute and adjust to a team, NO MATTER if they’ve never played together and no matter how new to the system they are (ask all-star Pao Gasol).
You and the league give Doc Rivers way too much credit. I don’t recall him getting this kind of adoration when his team only won 24 games last year. Doc’s coaching is not the reason why Boston has come this far. The reason why they are 2 games away from the title, is because their GM acquired KG and Ray Allen.

since its was true phil can say watever he wants about the fuking refs in game 2.. doc did not complain about refs cuz he did not have a case.. so fuk doc he better watch wat he saying before phil stands up and go to kick his asss…. he is just being disrespectful to an older and better coach.. respect ur elders u dumb fuk…
