You know what ticks me off more than our Lakers melting down and losing Game 4? It’s the media coverage after the game. Ugh! Please take this with a very small grain of salt, it’s a rumor after all…
HOOPSWORLD: The big question on everyone’s minds is whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers are finished following their historic collapse in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Rumors of Kobe Bryant steaming around the Lakers’ facilities threatening to get people traded are running rampant and Phil Jackson cancelled practice on Friday to give his team some time to rest - mentally as well as physically.
Apparently what really chapped Bryant’s . . .umm . . .lips was the commentary from Kevin Garnett following Game 4. Not that KG said anything we don’t already know; he simply pointed out that Kobe looks to get his teammates involved in the first half, then tries to take over in the second half. We’ve seen it time and time again in postseason play. How many games has Kobe been under 10 points at the half, inspiring commentators to verbally wonder when he’ll get going. It wasn’t that he couldn’t get going, it was that he was trying to get his teammates going. Kobe doesn’t need to warm up - he’s ready to go from the opening tip.
The inference being made (with that sly Phil Jackson smile) is that KG’s comments made Kobe so angry that he’s really going to come out and show us something in Game 5.
What that says to me is that Kobe’s going to score 50 and the Celtics will win the championship on their opponent’s home court.
It’s not the refs who need to extend this series, it’s the Kobe Bryant and his LA Lakers.

I love how KG calls the Mamba out when his team is up 3-1 instead of calling him out of the start of the series what a coward. And another thing if he demand some of his teammates to be traded who do you guys think is on that list can Pau be possibly be on that list since he has been playing soft this whole series.

We do need to get rid of Radmonovic. Other than that, after watching Ariza play in the last game, I’m fully convinced the Lakers are going to break the record next year. I haven’t given up on this year yet. I still believe we can beat this team 3 times in a row, regardless of where the games are. But Kobe knows as well as any of us that with the team we have, and Bynum back at full strength…..we will be UNSTOPABLE.

If the Celts take it this year, then they are going to try and repeat, but they won’t have the same roster because some of their veteran players will probably retire, like PJ Brown and Sam Cassel, I think they will meet us in the finals again next year with the Lakers beating them

With Bynum and Ariza back for a whole season, it looks like Mihm and Walton might be the odd men out. Too many small forwards Radmanovic, Odom, Ariza, Walton) and Walton looks lost at times on the floor. It looks like Kupchack is willing to gamble his reutation on Odom and Bynum, being that he drafted and traded Shaq for these two, Ariza plays the best defense, and Radmanovic at least can shoot from more than 12 feet from the basket. We’ll see….there’s always next year.

Guys keep in mind that Boston created this team for a 1-2 year spurt of the title. Our team is easily 3-5 year look at the title. Besides, at the start of this season we were ment to only make it to the 2nd round.
Now look at us, best team in the western conference, took down the 2007 NBA Champions and now in the Finals down 3-1 and could of easily been up 3-1. If we don’t win it all this year then so be it. Next year is no excuses. Take away pieces of our team that brakes us and adding pieces that will make us champions.
Side note…why not get rid of Luke (the force NOT with him) and bring in our draft pick from China? I mean he is about luke’s size but I think will at least open up the defense a little due to his shot and driving ability. If not then I hope I get to see him next year.
