Posey to Lakers next season?

He murdered us in Game 4 and if I remember he had a critical shot against us when he was with the Miami Heat. What are your thoughts in seeing him Purple & Gold? Sound-off in the comments and tell us what you think.

Boston.com: “Everyone in the league will go after him,” an NBA executive said. “The Lakers probably will. But it will probably be the same money. He can pick and choose. He’s like Robert Horry now. A team close to winning will sign him.

    old young old young

artest azuibuke or somebody else i don’t like him.

  2. Gravatar Icon 2 LakersFirst

He is exactly the type of player the Lakers are missing. A tough small forward. He is an unrestricted free agent after this season. At the very least he would demand the MLE ($5M per year. He makes $3.4M this year). I would welcome him in a Laker uniform (I would welcome anybody that makes the Lakers better).

  3. Gravatar Icon 3 DCLAKER

    I like it,bring’em (though I’d rather have Artest and Pietrus,maybe all 3,HMMMMM).

  4. Gravatar Icon 4 Lakers 24 7

Ive always hated Posey for killing us lol

I don’t mind him being with us, we could use him

  5. Gravatar Icon 5 Lakers 24 7

I’d start Posey over Radmanovic any day, Posey is a better defender, good outside shooter, makes all the hustle plays

  6. Gravatar Icon 6 RD

lets talk about this after the playoffs. right now, lets just HATE him and those damn 3s he kills us with!

  7. Gravatar Icon 7 DCLAKER

Trust me,he’s auditioning as he’s playing. If he comes,he’ll sign for about 2 or 3 yrs. and get Kelenna Azubuike or Pietrus AND IF THERE STILL ABLE TO GET ARTEST(Yes!I have jumped on the bandwagon),4 in a row.

    Call Mitch!!!

i was going to mention this in my preview but i felt it was a conversation for after the finals. . not one that merits consideration during

saying that, i’d love to have him on my team, and i’d pick him over artest (less money, more likely a scenario, and less off court issues)

  9. Gravatar Icon 9 Tiko

i hate this kid posey. he is a garnett wannabe blocking shots after the wistle. i dont like him. i dont want him.

  10. Gravatar Icon 10 mr. vito

I wanted Posey a couple years back, when he was still on Memphis or something. 6′8″ guy, lockdown D, good shot, hustle, experience…what’s not to like?

  11. Gravatar Icon 11 RoWyN

    who pusey?

  12. Gravatar Icon 12 lakerschamps08

he is dirty player but idk watever

  13. Gravatar Icon 13 DCLAKER

That’s what we need,A DIRTY PLAYER OF OUR OWN,remember A.C.Green.

  14. Gravatar Icon 14 F*CKPOSEY

I hate that dirty s.o.a.b. He can kiss my a$$ and lick my nuts for all I care. I don’t want that piece of $h!t on the Lakers. He deliberately tries to hurt people and there is no room for that in the NBA. (Not even if he is on the Lakers.)

  15. Gravatar Icon 15 Geloman

Posey instead of Vlad. We gotta get rid of him. He’s just plain terrible. But what about Ariza? He’s young athletic and a really great defender. What do we do with him?

I like Posey as a Robert Horry type. Clutch, veteran shooter who already has a ring with Miami.

It’s his choice, possibly win one with Boston or win 3-4 with the Lakers.

    Bring Artest

  17. Gravatar Icon 17 MichaelJordan

ARTEST!!!Can someone please unband me,please its the final, we need all the support, please!Lakers Will Make History!!Bring posey and artest, but artest is more of a must!

  18. Gravatar Icon 18 chase

Artest really intrigues me more! The problem with Artest though is that sometimes he needs the ball to be involved. The great thing about Posey is that he’s a “scrapper”. He’ll do whatever his team needs him to do. The Lakers need more of those kind of guys. They definitely need to add Posey to the roster, and maybe even an Artest on top of that. Vlad and Walton are just not cutting it!

  19. Gravatar Icon 19 Luis24

this would be great, him over fluke any day, You guys Vlad is cool just better as a bench player and a crappy starter posey would do all we need for lil money that’s great

  20. Gravatar Icon 20 Fred A.

    That is a ?

  21. Gravatar Icon 21 Edward

Get rid of vlad… with his shooting percentage posey is the better pick as i think posey would handle players like peirce anyday.

  22. Gravatar Icon 22 Michael24

if we dont get artest then get posey i would love him to come here and trade vlad for like a pf

hahaha, not a lot like A.C., I don’t think James Posey is still a virgin

  24. Gravatar Icon 24 west213

we dont want another pu ssy on our team that only can shoot the three like rad.

  25. Gravatar Icon 25 Erickson

uhm posey is alright, i guess i dont care. i just hate him. hes a dirty player to me! i remember specifically in one playoff series a while ago when he was in the heats, he speared ben gordon or was it luol deng from like full court or something. i just personally dont like him. i would actually boo him if he was on the lakers

  26. Gravatar Icon 26 KNG BQ

F*ck Posey, we don’t need any of the Celtics. Get Artest or Nowitzki!

WRONG!!! WRONG!!! Posey was signed to a 2 year deal. $3.2 million this year and $3.4 million next season. However he can opt out of his contract and become a unrestricted free agent after June 30.

Also if Posey picks up his option, it doesn’t count against next season’s MLE or any other exception; it’s a valid contract signed under this year’s MLE.

If we beat Boston he will come here if we pursue him, but if we don’t, unless we’re offering a lot more money I’ll bet he’ll stay in Boston. He’s about the closest thing to Artest we can get besides Artest himself. And west213 are you crazy? Posey is a warrior. Why do you think he uses a mouthpiece?

  30. Gravatar Icon 30 Kobe8>24

no, i dont want that cat on our team..

  31. Gravatar Icon 31 xtro

No brainer. Dude plays D and can shoot the three.

  32. Gravatar Icon 32 DCLAKER

Sako, that was funny as hell.Well,we need at least 2 to 3 players ’cause they’re not goin’ to keep some of these guys….and I tired of this Bulls comparison,Vlad IS NOT Toni Kukoc,Sasha IS NOT Steve Kerr,Kobe IS NOT….well, you get my drift.

Here my list of Cheaper players(get a list at Espn.com):

    Kelenna Azubuike

    Mickael Pietrus(of course my favorite)

    Jamario Moon

    Tj Ford

Corey Maggette(Though Pietrus is my favorite,I have a feeling this guy will be a Laker next season)

Alot of names but I feel whoever they get will really take Lakers over the top next season when they BREAK THE BULLS RECORD OF 72 WINS! Who do y’all think will be here,NAME YOUR FAVORITE 2 OR 3!
