Lakers Championship Tribute

Kobe's Circus Shot

DiCaprio left during 3rd quarter of game 6

I guess one sinking ship was enough for the actor and fellow Lakers fan…

Boston Herald: Lakers’ superfan Leonardo DiCaprio couldn’t stand the sight of his team taking the worst beating in NBA Finals history the other night – so the “Ashecliffe” star Departed the Garden halfway through the third quarter.

DiCaprio was in his usual perch – inside the Celtics [team stats] ESPN Message Boards – with Red Sox [team stats] GM Theo Epstein and his bride, Marie; Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey; uberchef Todd English and PR prince Keith Gainsboro.

But Leo’s misery didn’t end there. We hear the sweet staff at Honey’s Cafe & Bakery in Medfield whipped up a Celtics cake at the request of the Hollywood hunk’s driver yesterday.

Apparently, the wheel man wanted to have the cake on the seat when Leo got in the car.

“I guess he wanted to rub his nose in it,” said our spy.

I turned the TV at the 3rd quarter as well.

If I was at the Garden, I would do the same thing Leo did.

I don’t mind losing the game but without a fight is inexcusable for players that make millions of dollars per year. Shame.

As a Detroit Pistons fan, I feel his pain. It’s hard to watch your team throw it away.
