Posey to likely test the FA market?
This is a VERY attractive free agent out there. I’ve even said he is showing somewhat signs of Horry-esque credentials now. Either way, here is an update on what Posey plans to do:
Boston.com: Posey is likely to pass on the $3.4 million option for the 2008-2009 season and attract offers from any number of teams looking for a gritty defender and timely scorer with championship credentials.
However, one other report from the Herald has his agent claiming he does indeed want to remain with the Cetlics:
BostonHerald: But Posey’s agent made it clear yesterday that his client wants to return. “Certainly he needs to listen to everyone, but he really hopes that (the Celtics) want him back as much as he wants to stay there,” Mark Bartlestein said. “

This is ridiculous, they already a logjam at the 3 and the guys arn’t getting the minutes they deserved. Posey is not quick enough to play the 2 or big enough to play the 4. He just doesn’t fit.
