Hmm...that's interesting. Getting Bynum back and signing Kwame would be the heck of a move. The Lakers' weakness was toughness/strength/inside/rebounding/physicality.

Let's think of the match-ups with Boston like this:

-Bynum can outmuscle Kendrick Perkins. i know he can.
-Kwame Brown the backup will "man over" P.J. Brown.
-Garnett is athletic but skinny, still stronger than Gasol, so we lose there.
-Turiaf is 2 inches taller than Powe, can hit the mid-range jumper/Powe can't really, can post up better.

To conclude this up, Bynum's return already adds a monster inside and signing Kwame for defense and hoping that his offense will improve will add yet another monster inside. Remember back 1 year ago when everybody was talking having 2 big 3-headed monsters? They were: {Bynum, Brown, Mihm} and {Fisher, Farmar, Crittenton}.

Incorrect positioning there. If you get rid of Sasha then who is your shooter off the bench?

Crawford is more like SG. The Asian "Magic Johnson" is probably a tall guy so play him more like a "Point Forward" like Odom. Ariza is SF but can play a little SG. Posey is more like SF. Vlad is SF but can play PF when Lakers go small & quick. Walton doesn't belong in the NBA. The line up should actually look like this (To the Left are starters and to the right are Bench Players):

Center: Bynum/Mihm
Power Forward: Gasol/Turiaf
Small Forward: Odom/Ariz/Radmanovic
Shooting Guard:Bryant/Vujacic/Crawford
Point Guard: Fisher/Farmar

Possible additions to the Front Court: Kwame Brown/ keep Mbenga/ sign Posey or Maggette

Phil please start preaching DEFENSE and Mitch/Buss better hire a "Defensive Coordinator"

Win it all next year.

That's right dawg. There aren't many impact PG Free Agents out there and the best we can get are those SFs like Posey, Maggette, etc and then get rid of our junk SFs like "Fluke" and Vlad in the process so we won't have to end up with so many playing for that position.

We need a great point guard who has crazy handles, can slash to break down defenses, hit 3s, and defend other PGs. What the Lakers can do since they're loaded at SF is they can trade Luke and Vlad for another backup PG behind Fisher or if they hate Odom so bad then they can trade him for a starting PG to start in place of Fisher.

Posey is necessary because of his Defense, he is a major upgrade over Radmanovic for this reason, and is also pretty underrated at knocking down the 3. I think Sasha is not worth more than $m a year, if he rolls we should try Kareem Rush on the minimum as i loved him when he was a Laker, he hit some huge 3’s for us. Kwame would be an interesting signing, defensively he wasn’t too bad, but offensively a bust, so in a back up role he wouldn’t be too bad, just not good enough to start he just needs to have a better work ethic.

We just need to decide on a solid rotation for our SF’s and then try to get rid or what we don’t need [Luke and Radmanovic]

I love how everyone is like trade Luke now he sucks he can't do shit. But just a few months ago when Luke was playing great against the Nuggets everyone was praising him. It was the same during the 06 07 season when he was a canidate for most improved before he got hurt. Everyone jumps on him so quickly when he doesn't play as expected. He was hurt all year, give him some rest and time to get healthy and he'll be fine. I guarentee that.

Also, how many of you that are telling Mitch what to do wanted to get rid of Odom and Bynum last offseason? How many of you even understand the first thing about how things work (ie you can't just get rid of a player because they are not good)? How many of you saw the Gasol trade coming? Now think about how many trades were almost done or you told Mitch should happen. After that, think about what Mitch actually did, if you thought that would happen before it did, and where the Lakers ended up.

Kobe/ Posey
Fish/ Farmar/ Asian "Magic Johnson"/ Crawford

Total player: 14

and trade for Artest. WE NEED DDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!

i think maggete is the worst free aent that we can sign, i dont want his big head in a laker uniform, and he has a big ego and he doesnt want to come off the bench

get somebody we realuy need players like Artest and Tayshaun Prince (Pietrus is more realistic)

I think Magette would be the best free agent to sign, and he can play the SG spot as backup for Kobe, and he can also be a SF starter, Lamar at PF, and Gasol at C.
