Press Enterprise: Luke Walton will have surgery Friday to remove bone spurs from his right ankle and expects to be out of action for four weeks.
Walton hopes the surgery will alleviate the pain he felt in the ankle all last season.
“It’s the kind of thing that you don’t know if the surgery will help. But I’m optimistic,” Walton said by phone.

Hopefully the surgery well help him feel a lot better and his playing will improve exponentially, at least, better than it was last year when he struggled a lot due to injuries and limited playing time.
Wow I didn’t know you needed bone spurs removed when u sit on the bench. Hopefully the doctor can wind his ankle up real tight so he would actually be able to jump. Kind a like that movie little big league…

serious! why did he wait all the way until july to get surgery. i guess after startin to do somethin during the offseason, he realized he had an injury and just totally forgot about it when he was on the bench!
His injuries was what was slowing him down and not being aggressive. 2 years he was playing exceptionally good in my opinion! But after his injury he became slow and he didn’t do very well…
Maybe if he doesn’t get traded with Vlad for a good deal, Luke can possibly bounce back?

ALL LAST SEASON. I’ve said this all along, he was hurt all season and that is why he wasn’t playing as well as he did the year before. Every time they had a long break he played like he did in 06 07. That’s because he was able to rest it and get treatment. He will be back to his old self next season.
