The people over at Nike Basketball got in contact with the Lakers Nation since their reaching out to the blogs and sites frequented by fans of Nike Basketball. So if you have “mad-skillz” with the mic be sure to sign-up! Oh, and don’t forget to name-drop the Lakers Nation in your rhyme.

Your verse will then go one-on-one with others, and Just Blaze and the Nikebasketball.com community will vote for the top MCs. The final four winners will be the featured artists on USA Basketball’s anthem for the 2008 Summer Games.
The contest begins 7/15/2008 on and the deadline for entry is 7/25/2008.
