Chris Kaman recently made some comments about Kobe. Deep respect from the Clipper. He talks about how he’s playing for Germany (tomorrow USA faces Germany) even though he’s an American Citizen. Here is what he had to say about Ochox3:
ESPN: “People are going to hate you no matter what you do. People hate Kobe Bryant, and he’s the best player in the world,” Kaman said. “I just want to be positive, not focus on the negative stuff. It doesn’t get you anywhere.”

Kaman’s a good guy and he’s been a Kobe fan for a looooong time.
Apart from what Kaman had said, it’s always been known that Kobe receives more hate than love, but his true basketball instincts show just how much his fans truly love him for.

I still find it sad that people are hating on Kaman for playing for another country. The guy just wants to play ball and compete. Im sure he’d love to play for the US and represent but he just didnt make the cut. Kaman just wants to play basketball, I sign of a man who just loves to play the game.

Just another supporter of the Greatest. But its not hard to acknowlege that he is if you just sit back and watch him for even 10 sec. He’s just that good.
i’m one of the biggest kobe fans, but i have to admit LBJ is right there with him or has surpassed him. watching LBJ defensively last year and this year is quite amazing. He has really worked on that area of his game, if he shoots consistently I cannot give the nod to my man Kobe anymore. But then again…HE STILL HAS A TORN LIGAMENT IN HIS PINKY OF HIS SHOOTING HAND! so we’ll just have to wait and see, Kobe is kicking 30’s door down but with his excellent conditioning and training i’m hoping he can withstand all the extra playoff miles. I agree that Kobe’s definitely the best player in the world right now, but as for “people hate him,” that might be true in America to a degree, but if anything, these Olympics have shown the Kobe is very much loved outside the US.

One reason why Kobe gets a lot of hate is because he gets compared to Jordan a lot and some people hate that. And also because Kobe kills their teams and constantly gets brought up as the best player in the NBA. One day when Kobe is not around and LeBron gets compared to Jordan a lot, and kills teams because he’s good, then he will be hated too.
Yea, I agree. LeBron is putting up better numbers and playing beautifully, but, Kobe is an overall better player (By overall I mean, offense, defense, ball handling, foot work, post up, jump shot etc.) In these olympics, LeBron has shown that he can defend by making steals and blocking inside the paint, but Kobe is the lockdown defender, which means no air to breathe for the offensive player.
