Lakers sign Yue
Lakers.com: The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Sun Yue to a multi-year contract, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Originally selected by the Lakers in the second round (40th overall) of 2007 NBA draft, the 6-9 guard started for the Chinese National Team this past month in the men’s basketball tournament at the Beijing Olympics. In six games, Sun averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.33 steals in 28.0 minutes.
Playing for the Beijing Aoshen Olympians of the American Basketball Association for the past three seasons, Sun, 23, was named First Team All-ABA in both 2007 and 2008 while earning Second-Team All-ABA honors in 2006.
Posting a 12-point, 14-rebound, 12-assist, 8-block, 4-steal triple-double against the L.A. Aftershock during his rookie season in the ABA (2005-06), Sun averaged 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 10.5 assists in 2006-07 when the team played its home games at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA before moving to Singapore for the 2007-08 season.

Sun is getting the standard minimum two-year contract for a second-round draft pick; however his entire contract is fully guaranteed ($1.2 million – ~$442k and ~$736k). He was chosen by the Lakers with the 40th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Those trades are possible, but barely. When coming up with trade ideas, also think if the other teams would want the Lakers’ crap. If they are dumb like Minnesota and Seattle, then they would give up their good players for a team that is trying to rip them off. Yeah, just like they Celtics ripped them off.
I know this sounds impossible, but don’t you all wish that the Heat would just give Marion for Mihm, Vlad, and Luke? After all you guys don’t like them anyway.
Speaking of trades. Rumor has it on Tuesday Lamar Odom will be traded. Most likely candidate is Tayshaun Prince from what I hear. Hopefully it’s true.
lakers should offer walton or radman for free, I think clips have some cap space left, walton & cash for their second round pick.
I hope Sun gets decent playing time. Clearly he brings a lot more athleticism than that joke Walton. For this team to improve we need Luke to assume the Ira Newble role on the bench next season. Hopefully Sun will bring some quality minutes.

lakers should do like what team USA did on D, CP3, Dwill, and kidd – full court pressure. Lakers should use farmar like USA used CP3, Sun like USA used williams, and fish like team usa used kidd, with the exception that more minutes go to farm & fish.

Let see if PJ will play Sun during crutch time and not garbage mins like coby. Most rookies are bench warmers for the first yr for PJ. He hates to use them. Will Sun shine? let see….
