Jerry West, Magic Johnson to present Pat Riley for Hall induction

This is some pretty cool news for a special guy who brought 5 NBA championships to the Lakers:

Sun-Sentinel: Jerry West, who in 1981 turned down the opportunity to coach the Los Angeles Lakers and agreed only to serve as an assistant to Riley, will introduce Riley at the Sept. 5 enshrinement in Springfield, Mass.

Also introducing Riley with be Magic Johnson, the point guard who guided the Lakers, under Riley’s direction, to four NBA championships.

Congratz to Coach Pat Riley for giving us the best memories of Laker Basketball in the 80s!

Well deserved and it’s about time! This award should have been given to him in the 90s. It shouldn’t have taken him to win one more championship with the Heat to get it.

Love Pat Riley, he is a true Laker. Along with two of the greatest Lakers of all time West and Magic, its too much star power for one podium! I love it. But Pat only brought us 4, not 5 LD2k, but it feels like 5 though. Congrats Pat!!!
