Yahoo: The Los Angeles Lakers signed forward C.J. Giles on Friday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-11, 240-pound Giles, who played two seasons with the Kansas Jayhawks before transferring to Oregon State, appeared in 10 games for the Beavers last season before being dismissed from the team in late January.
He averaged 6.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game at Oregon State.

They just need someone to participate in scrimmages this traming camp. I see this guy getting cut after the first week or two.

the only 2 guys really gonna be fighting for the last spot is gonna be crawford and karl. i personally like crawford cause of his athleticism. karl is just another shooter. i hope we can still retain the services of mbenga, but it would make our roster near full unless we send crawford or karl to nbdl for entire season. i believe sun yue will make the team for sure. he’ll be on the season roster, i have a good feeling. lakers looking solid and its gonna be a great season.

We don’t need head cases on this team. We don’t need a Lawrence Phillips disciple on this team.
We wanted Artest who’s the biggest headcase EVER…even over guys like Xavier Mcdaniels,Charles Barkley,Bill Walton (stoner)etc.
So a headcase probably would’ve been the difference,for us,in the Finals.Someone crashing the boards,especially on offense and DUNKING IT ON SOMEBODY’S HEAD!
