The Lakers, while playing offense, were illegally screened, held down, jerseys pulled in clear sight, basically manhandled and mugged, but benefited to a much lesser degree than the Celtics did when they were playing on the offensive side... Naturally all players will adjust to either play more aggressive when there is little or no consequence to suffer, while at the same time, become more tentative and/or anxious when there is little or no benefit to derive. ... There is no doubt, whether it be in the 2006 or 2008 NBA Finals, if the scales of justice were unequivocally balanced; both outcomes (Declared Winners) would be reversed, and it would not even be close.
