IT'S SAD TO SAY THAT THE POLITICS OF SPORTS HAS REARED IT'S UGLY HEAD AGAIN.. IT STILL TO EARLY TO BE TALKING ABOUT MVP, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?, IF KOBE DID NOT GET THE MVP LAST YEAR HE WOULD STILL BE WHERE HE'S AT IN MY MIND. HE'S SIMPLY THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER THAT I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE TO WATCH-PERIOD. WHEN WILT CHAMBERLIN SCORED 100 POINTS HE WAS SUCH A FORCE. MAYBE ONE PERSON THAT YOU COULD CALL A POSSIBLE THREAT TO HIM. HIS TEAM DID NOT TRAIL IN THAT GAME. KOBE SCORING 81 IS THE GREATEST DISPLAY OF BSAKETBALL TALENT EVER. WHO'S FUN TO WATCH RATES HIGH FOR THE FAN AND T.V. M.J. IS NOT THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER M.J. HAS THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF PEOPLE SAYING HE IS.I'LL GIVE HIM THE INTERNAL EDGE, BUT EXTERNALLY, NO ONE TOPS KOBE-NO ONE! AND I DON'T NEED ALL OF AMERICA TO AGREE WITH ME-NONE OF US THOUGHT THAT A BLACKMAN WOULD WIN THE NOMINATION OF ONE OF THE TWO MAJOR PARTIES,BECOMING PRESIDENT WASN'T THINKABLE.

Uuummm. I don't give a rip about MVP trophies. We want the ring. Why would these idiot reporters start talking about MVP's when the season just started.

Vida24 you are right. I don't trust them either. They'll just screw him in the end....

If he average around 20 pts/game, 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2-3 steals, 1 block a game and Lakers #1 in NBA, he should get the MVP again!

Well, if we apply the championship logic (you know, like last year, when the Spurs were reigning champs, they're the champs until they get beat).

So, Kobe's the MVP to be beat, until then ... he's got to be #1 no matter what his stats are or what the team's record is. He should be in all the MVP discussions (and #1 choice in those discussions, just cuz he's the reigning MVP).

It's called respect. Gotta respect the reigning peeps until they're dethroned.
