Bynum has loose bone spur in right foot

I hope this isn’t something serious…

O.C. Register: Andrew Bynum has pain and inflammation in his right foot as a result of a small bone spur that chipped off during the game Tuesday night against New Jersey. MRI and CT examinations showed the injury, which has the Lakers considering Bynum day-to-day. More information is expected Friday before the game against Dallas.

I’m not a doctor or anything, but bone spurs cause a nagging pain that inflames, which obviously causes pain (I have a friend that found out that he has one on his heel). Usually bone spurs are eliminated via surgery, but it really depends on how bad it hurts the person.

  17. Lakers 24 7 says:

Surgery may also be used to remove a bone spur. The symptoms may be treated with application of ice, NSAIDs, rest, or stretching.

  18. khw says:

damnit… I have tickets for tomorrow’s game >_<. I was so ready to see us at full strength.

  19. aggressive expansion says:

lets sit his butt now, because our schedule is week right now, but i hope he’ll be able to play that boston game otherwise i waited almost a whole year for nothing. the game’s gonna be freakin’ huge

  20. If Bynum needs to rest then he needs to rest. Wouldn’t it be more thrilling if we beat Boston without Bynum ;) .

  21. SliqRiq says:

  25. jamaicans-for-KOBE says:

hey we are all worried..but it’s his Right knee…..the leg that got injured last year was the left one…this is nothing serious..just keep him in ya prayers…

    lakers forever…………….

  26. Dboy says:

foreal quit trippin…we will be ok…if it was that serious we would have heard something already via espn or whatever. Some of you “Laker Fans” are retarded sometimes. I’d take being 50-32 and winning a championship with a healthy bynum rather then 73-9 with bynums foot being shaky and losing in the finals again. Everything will be ok
