Mihm is ready and waiting
O.C. Register: Chris Mihm sits ever-so-impatiently on the end of the Lakers bench, waiting for the nod that would put him in the game. His hands long to hold the ball. His feet itch to run.
But the Lakers back-up center knows his time will come, and not just in the waning moments of a blowout.
It might be next year, or down the road. It might, more than likely, happen in another uniform, or now with Andrew Bynum hurt, this season. Whatever the circumstance, Mihm is convinced he will play again.
“I still have the best years of my career ahead,” Mihm said after a recent practice. “I fought a long time to get back on this court and be a part of this team. Certainly I want to be on the floor and I’m working hard every day to find a way to work my way into the rotation.
“I know it’s tough. I see the writing on the wall. Since I got injured, Pau Gasol has come to the team, Andrew has really matured. Both those guys are signed to long-term, big contracts. I understand what it is.
“(But) my focus is on this year. This is my last year of my contract here and I fought long and hard for five years to see this team come from somewhat unorganized, out of sorts when I first came here to now. We’ve really come together as a family.”

oh man! i cant blame you for the wishfull thinking, but both you and i know we would have to throw in someone way better than Mihm to get G-Wallace…
True about Mihm,Milo…sometimes I hate when you guys are right…as long as it’s another Laker pointing in the right direction,I don’t mind one bit.
