Bryant Day-to-Day with Ankle Sprain

UPDATE #2 -

Lakers Basketblog: After the game, Lakers head coach Phil Jackson simply said that Bryant “sprained his ankle” and will be looked at in the morning. No. 24 and the team will stay in New York City for the evening, and Bryant and L.A.’s training staff will re-evaluate the ankle on Saturday morning.

In the meantime, Bryant’s listed as day-to-day heading into Sunday afternoon’s contest in Atlanta. We’ll have an update for you when one’s made available on Saturday.

UPDATE #1:  He is out there for the second half and moving around normally. Despite the scare, he’ll be alright. We’ll keep you updated on any news regarding what the injury is.

Kobe Bryant got his leg caught up in another players as he was falling to the ground. Kobe remained on the ground in a bit of pain before walking off to the locker room.

Although there was no major noticable gimp as he walked off into the locker room, it is a big concern, anytime obviously, for anyone else on this team to get injured. I feel he’ll be good to go – he is a tough S.O.B. – but we’ll keep an eye on it.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I thought also!
…It seemed like that little punked fly-on-the-wall Devin “not me” Harris attempted to get away with inconspicuous damage on the Kobester, as he (Harris) fell backwards.
