Kobe's Circus Shot

Bryant a Game-Time Decision

Should Kobe suit-up for a meaningless game against the AtLAnta Hawks or fight for the best record in the league. Sound-off!

Lakers Basketblog: Kobe Bryant received treatment on his sprained right ankle from Lakers Head Athletic Trainer Gary Vitti along with doing some shooting on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta. L.A.’s leading scorer will be listed as a game-time decision for the 12:30 p.m. Pacific tipoff against the Hawks.

However, it should be noted that after L.A.’s 103-96 victory in New Jersey on Friday night, Bryant told reporters that he would indeed play in Sunday’s game, questioning only how much pain he’d have to play through.

I thought kobe should have been given a break in the first place. I hope he doesn’t play. the dude has been playing non-stop for over two years now, he needs a rest. Especially if they are going to make a finals push. As for the best record in the league? they’ll still be better than boston. And I don’t care what anybody says. Clevland is good, but when it comes to 7 games against boston, it’s not going to happen.

Finally someone agrees with me. Cleavland won’t be as consistent come to a 7 game series. Boston should be what were looking ahead since they are the contenders and won’t snap against Cleavland with everyone healthy. Cleavland = Series sweep. Boston = Take it in 5 or 6 games.
As long as were getting the ship, I’m not going to complain about Kobe missing this next game.

Shouldn’t play? come on, Atlanta is like the only team with a winning record on this road trip. Kobe shouldn’t play against the Bucks or something.

  4. Brett says:

If anyone has followed kobe throughout the years, then you know he’ll play. It’s just who he is, this wont stop him.

  5. karinLA24 says:

even if you tell him not to play, he plays.
so i guess let him play, but limit the time.
and bench needs to like play great tomorrow.
SASHA NEEDS TO MAKE MORE THREE’S :)

  6. kwame4mvp says:

haha kobe.. u don’t need to play.. u got sasha to step in to replace u. he be shootin up those turn around fadeaways.. watch out kobe. he gon put u out of a job. lmao.

  7. kb24bestever says:

kobe you have to play you gotta show everybody why u the best on this planet.

  8. Steve Avery says:

Shut it down Kobe. Shut it down till the playoffs.

  9. lyk13 says:

“We want a game 7 in the finals in Los Angeles.”

    Echo that.

  10. domz says:

every game counts we need HCA just for the sake of having it. lol

  11. YellowPurpleFever says:

He’ll play, its nationally televise. Just get on the court and be a decoy. Or get a shot of cortisone before the game and one after the game. This is not baseball right? OK lets ball. Just think 7-0 on this trip, a RECORD in NBA. Cavs might have the best record over all. LeBRONZE is overover-rated. He might be strong but NOT good to watch… NOT FINESS OR SKILLFUL. He’s just does not Glide like how you say “Thats PRETTY” “THATS Sweet” “Man Oh man” like MJ and KOBE period. He will get another BRONZE this year. We will take Boston for the SHIP. gO LaKerS !!!

  12. kobe bryant says:

i mean you can give the man a rest but he be ballin non stop
but hes kobe bryanr the best player in the world
he wants to prove hes the best player on the best team with the best coach (for those who dont know that)
    so should he play? no
    will he play? most likley
but phils smart and he will limit his minutes

  13. kobe8 says:

I also think that Boston can beat Cleveland in a 7-game series. And we OWNED Boston this season and we would have HCA if we meet them in the Finals so i don’t think Kobe AND Pau should play especially against the Bucks coz these guys haven’t rested because of the Olympics.

  14. Brandon says:

It should be noted that Kobe Bryant is listed as a probable starter on the gameday page.

  15. Jake says:

Kobe is the ultimate warrior. He’ll be dressed and ready to whoop the Hawks. Home Court is too precious for him to be sitting now…at least from Kobe’s perspective.

  16. lafanfromindiana says:

I hope he has ankle insurance!
