IT WOULD DEPEND ON WHAT ELSE WE WOULD GET! LAMAR IS MUCH MORE VERSATILE THEN IS AMARE! LAMAR CAN PLAY ANY POSITION IN ALMOST ANY SITUATION WHEN HE IS NEEDED! HE MAY NOT BE GREAT IN EVERY POSITION BUT HE FILLS A VOID DUE TO INJURIES ETC…

He doesnt need to do those. We have many more players for those things. Lamar is old.If we can get a player who is as good as or even better than Pau, it is much better in trade value down the road. If the Lakers resign Lamar I am predicting a Sasha like season out of Lamar next year.

NO!NO!NO!NO!NO! Look, LO can do more things on the court than Amare! I’ve never seen Amare bring the ball down court and set up the offense, post up, hit the 3, get out in transition, offensive rebound, defensive rebound, mid range jump shot, be a starter or come off the bench when needed, defend the guard, the forward or center at one time or another during a game and consistently throughout the season. LO is a team player that makes him more valuable than Amare. LO has a ring!!!

I have said this before. If anyone has read the book,7 Seconds or Less like I have I would Say HELL NO! to this trade. This guy is the ultimate ME player. Both he and Marion are the biggest whiners and complainers and that is why the Suns are trying to trade him. This guy has amazing talent but their is no way that he could handle the scrutiny and the challenge of coming off the bench if he needed to. His ego is too large for that. Just picture of the type of person that we migh all work with that the moment something goes wrong he would run be an HR case.

Amare also had microfracture surgery on his knee, so who knows how long that will hold up in the long term. If it goes out, there goes him and his trade potential.

Lamar has accepted his role and has found a way to flourish in it. I doubt Amare can do the same knowing how selfish he can be.

Would Amare be willing to come off the bench? Probably not. Would he be capable of taking his game out to the perimeter and take people off the dribble or drop a 3? I don’t think so. Can he run the offense as a point forward could? No way. Can he produce like an all-star off the bench. I think not. Can he mesh well with the team and be self-less. Probably not. I guess the answer would be:

HELL NO!

when amare comes to LA kurt rambis will make him a great defensive player, probably the best defensive player in the league guarding powr forwards, no one at 6-10 is more athletic or as strong as amare, amare will be the new kareem with the goggles

Absolutley a deal. Amare is a proven allstar. Even if Amare doesnt play well in LA he has so much more trade potential then Lamar. Amare is only 26 to Lamar who is almost 30. Think about having Amare or Bynum coming off the bench. Wow. It wouldnt even be fair. Amare is a much better long term deal. L.O. has only got a few good years left.
