What are you guys talking about? Ariza is just about to hit his prime and has the potential to be an All-Star. Not to mention he has a fantastic attitude and is a team player. Without Ariza, THERE IS NO CHAMPIONSHIP this year.

I love Odom but we can replace him with a big off the bench. Artest is dangerous to team chemistry and is not a kid anymore. Losing Ariza would be devastating. Oh, and don’t kid yourself. Ariza in Cleveland will be VERY difficult to beat

Guys please stop blaming Ariza, it’s his stupid ass agent wanting more money since he gets a certain % off it.

If I was ariza I would fire him and sign with the Lakers. But I gotta admit he should get paid a lil more. But we will see what happens. If not we can get Ron Artest, which is a better replacement imo.

If B!tch Mitch and Bimbo Jimbo let Ariza go and do not sign Artest, then this is going to be another vintage bonehead blunder. Ariza and Brown are keepers over bonehead Odumb. B!tch Mitch blew a good portion of the Lakers salary on total garbage: Vujabich, Farma$$, Fluke, and Bynumb. Lakers need a top notch defensive player like Ariza or Artest.

He’s only doing what ALL of us would do if you were offered more money somewhere else. He’s thinking about being financially set and his family’s future. A lot of Hall of Famers don’t have a ring and they made their millions. Why do you think Karl Malone accepted a 1.2 million dollar deal when he signed with the Lakers? To get a ring but that didn’t happen. So he’s doing now what a lot of players would do when their stock rises. He’s got his ring so now go get paid!!!

Only problem i have with him leaving is the same problem i saw with Boston not signing Posey. Look what happened to Boston ( i know injuries but…. If we get artest than it’s all good in La La. I mean after 2000 we did lose Glenn Rice and i heard we did alright

Cleveland already contacted him, but they are only offering the mid level, so that wouldn’t make any sense to leave. The only teams that can offer him the $$$ he wants are Portland, Toronto, and Detroit cuz they are below the cap. Ariza can easily be replaced.

Looks like the Lakers are holding onto LO. I hope his agent is more reasonable. This means the Lakers will go after a veteran free agent that will accept the mid-level. If this happens and we can sign LO for cheap, we could also sign Brown.

Our total payroll is going to probably be around $93-95m this season.

Current payroll $77m

resign LO $8-9m
FA $5.5m
Brown $2-3m
