Kobe Update: Will play tonight

UPDATE: Lakers sideline reporter, John Ireland reports that Kobe will indeed give it a go tonight.

Twitter: Latest from OKC: Kobe just had his temp taken: 98.6. Still has a sore throat, but will play. Gasol is out.

Kobe is a little sick and is listed as “questionable” for tonight…

Lakers Basketblog: Lakers spokesman John Black confirmed that Kobe Bryant has a fever and a sore throat, and is listed as “questionable” for tonight’s game against Oklahoma City.

As for Phil, he had this to say about Kobe playing when he is sick…

Twitter: Phil Jackson: “He usually does.”

      Nah….68% will do against the Thunder. lol

      Seriously. Kobe is like Jordan in that he finds a way to conserve his energy and focus on what’s needed in order to win.

      Besides, he now has Artest to guard the other teams best perimeter player so Kobe doesn’t have to spend too much energy on the defensive side.

    Phil should sit Kobe, that way we can see what this team is about without our 1-2 players. I think it would be a good test for the Lakers. But Kobe’s a beast, dude never wants to leave the court. Go Lakers! Can’t wait to watch pre-game with Big Game James!

    He had Fever, sore throat, A flu!! Whaaaaat 31 points wheres the flu. He killed it ya’ll. Artest was a beast like usual. But we are missin pau. Good game tho its was thrilling.
