TLN’s Game Report: Lakers vs. Pistons
The Lakers are back at the Staples Center to host the Detroit Pistons; looking to ensure that a rare two-game losing streak won’t stretch into three games.
Los Angeles has to have a bounce back game just to show that the terrible second half of the game in a road loss at Denver and the home loss to the Rockets was merely a small blip on the radar, two losses, in a long season and nothing to be alarmed about.
I’ve said on more than one occasion that the Lakers need to start their offense from the inside out. Establish both Kobe Bryant & Andrew Bynum in the post and allow them to go to work. This has been and will continue to be a method for success; however not at the expense of the rest of the team getting involved.
The Lakers have been so locked into the above mentioned tactic that the team hasn’t gotten into any sort of offensive flow. There have been too many games where despite the success of Kobe & Bynum in the post that the rest of the team has been up and down with their shooting.
Tonight Los Angeles needs to show their experience, maturity and execute their offense down the stretch.
When Lamar Odom is aggressive on the offensive end he provides the Lakers a huge boost and the opponent a match up nightmare. The Lakers went away from working Andrew Bynum in Denver and started shooting several long jump shots. The Lakers are much better off when the ball goes into the post first.
Ron Artest is getting much more aggressive offensively but still sharing the ball and finding his teammates.

I say Bynum is the key for tonight. He has shown a vast amount of improvement and that makes me happy and to think that when Pau recovers, Lakers are going to be at full throttle and we can finally kick ass.
Show up Odom!
i bet u anyhing that odom is eating candy RIGHT NOW!
Such a bad start AGAIN, i fuking hate it they settle for so many dumb shots and we should bench fisher, like FUCKKKKKKK
Relax man, who doesnt end up winning when they are trailing in the first. They just need to get their rhythm going and gain some confidence.
The crowd can play a big role in this by shutting up unless they are cheering for the Lakers, anything other than that isnt accepted.
He were go!!
Kobe heating up, Lakers heating up too, lets go!!
What a great first half. Wow, Kobe scored more in the half than he did in the whole game against Rockets.
Brown is on fire. Bynum is too. Defense is awesome.
Keep it up.
Are the pistons CUPCAKE enough to not beat the world champs???
yes good half. lets keep that now 2nd half is more important.
just putting it out there, I HATE THE NEW NBA SITE!
Lead down to 15. Second unit isnt doing much except for Brown.
Brown called for a travel? If that was Lebron, it wouldve been an And1.
Hahaha, Maxiell startng with Bynum. He should know that Bynum would snap him in half like a twig.
